Hi everyone and welcome to the second day of the
SugarPea Designs January 2020 release sweet peeks!
We hope you’ll join us this week as we share Sweet Peeks for our NEWEST products, available to purchase in the
SPD Store from this Friday, January 24th at 6PM EST.
Today we are sneak peeking the gorgeous
Wheelie Amazing stamp set and its coordinating
Wheelie Amazing die set.
For my card, I used the colours from the latest challenge
CTD76 at
Color Throwdown - teal, navy and mustard. I think this is such a lovely and elegant colour combination.
The
Wheelie Amazing stamp set contains a lovely mix of solid images (such as the bicycle frame and wheels) and line art images. I stamped the bicycle frame in mustard ink and the 2 wheels in grey ink before cutting them out using the
coordinating dies. The 2 flower baskets were stamped in navy ink then coloured with Copic markers, and I also added some colour to the seat and handlebars of the bicycle using a navy marker. The teeny tiny banner was stamped in grey ink before adding a sentiment using navy ink (the
stamp set includes 3 different sentiments that fit inside the banner).
To create the stitched white panel, I simply cut out an A2 sized stitched rectangle using the largest die from the
Card Front Element Builder die set, then placed the longest edge of the same die across the bottom of the panel and selectively die cut it to create the angled stitched edge. The scalloped navy edge was created using the scalloped rectangle die from the
Birthday Journal Card die set, and the striped paper is from our
Spots & Stripes - Brights paper pad.
