SugarPea Designs June 2019 release: Day 3

Hi everyone and welcome to the third day of the SugarPea Designs June 2019 release sweet peeks!

Today we are sneak peeking the adorable Hey Summer stamp set and its coordinating Hey Summer die set.  The die set is really cool as it cuts the bear's left arm so you can tuck anything behind it!  I stamped and Copic coloured the bear, then decided I wanted to add a pattern to his shorts.  Rather than paper piece, I decided to create a mask and stamped the shorts multiple times with the smallest flower stamp from the Bring on the Cake stamp set using Versamark ink.  I then heat embossed in white.  The background was created using Broken China distress ink and a *NEW* stencil that I designed - Wave Stencil - which will be officially revealed in Friday's peeks.  Finally, the sentiment was created by using the DUDE stamp from the Hey Summer stamp set and Happy Birthday from the *NEW* Everyday Sentiments stamp set.

SugarPea Designs June 2019 release: Day 2

Hi everyone and welcome to the second day of the SugarPea Designs June 2019 release sweet peeks!

We hope you’ll join us this week as we share Sweet Peeks for our NEWEST products, available to purchase in the SPD Store from this Friday, June 21st at 6PM EST.

Today we are sneak peeking one of the new stamp and die sets I designed for this release - King of the Grill stamp set and the Backyard BBQ die set.  We are also showcasing the Grill Master stamp and die set.

For my card, I used the *NEW* Backyard BBQ die set, the coordinating *NEW* King of the Grill stamp set and 2 different patterned papers from our Countryside Charm paper pad.  I actually cut out the beer bottle, beer glass, sausages and steak from white card and coloured them with my copic markers.  Some of the dies in the set include embossed lines (such as the beer glass, wine glass and steaks) which you can either use to assist in colouring the pieces or use them as guidelines to cut apart the die cuts when using different colours of card.  Some of the dies also include open parts so you can either run them through your die cutting machine again to emboss or you can ink through the holes.

SugarPea Designs June 2019 release: Day 1

Hi everyone and welcome to the first day of the SugarPea Designs June 2019 release sweet peeks!

We hope you’ll join us this week as we share Sweet Peeks for our NEWEST products, available to purchase in the SPD Store from this Friday, June 21st at 6PM EST.

Today we are sneak peeking the new Everyday Sentiments stamp set together with its coordinating Sentiment Strips die set, as well as the Meadow Motifs stamp and die set, and a brand SugarPea STENCIL - Spirograph Mandala.

For my card, I inked through the stencil using VersaColor Gold 91 pigment ink (it has a lovely sheen, but I couldn't quite capture it when photographing!).  The die cut Congrats word die (from our last release) was heat embossed with gold embossing powder as I wanted a more matt finish than mirri card.  I love using strip sentiments, but do find it a little frustrating to cut them out precisely, so I decided to design a very simple, yet effective, set of dies to go with our newest sentiment stamp set, that make cutting them out a breeze.  Simply stamp the sentiment onto cardstock (it doesn't matter how wonky, haha!) and then use the open-faced sentiment strip die that best fits to cut it out.  It means that all the strips are the same height, which I love (it's the little details!).
