SugarPea Designs Feb 2019 Release: Day 4

Hi everyone and welcome to the 4th day of the SugarPea Designs February 2019 release sweet peeks!

We hope you’ll join us this week as we share Sweet Peeks for our NEWEST products, available to purchase in the SPD Store from this Friday, February 15th at 6PM EST.

Today we are sneak peekingsome gorgeous Easter themed goodies.

For my card, I die cut a scalloped stitched rectangle from white card using the previously released Card Front Element Builder die set.  I inked the centre of the panel with Evergreen Bough distress ink, adding some water and ink flicks.  I then used the *NEW* SugarCut: Egg Window die to cut out the shape from the centre.  I mounted this onto a 4 1/8" x 5 3/8" white card base and added a SugarCut: Easter Word die cut from gold glitter card.  The sentiment is from the new Easter Wishes stamp set, and I simply stamped it onto some white card using Versamark ink and heat embossed using clear embossing powder, before inking it with some more Evergreen Bough distress ink.  I cut it out, popped it onto the card using foam pads for dimension, and then added a few gold sequins to finish.

SugarPea Designs Feb 2019 Release: Day 3

Hi everyone and welcome to the third day of the SugarPea Designs February 2019 release sweet peeks!

We hope you’ll join us this week as we share Sweet Peeks for our NEWEST products, available to purchase in the SPD Store from this Friday, February 15th at 6PM EST.

Today we are sneak peeking the gorgeous Tutti Fruitt stamp set and coordinating Tutti Frutti die set.

I stamped a 4.25x5.5" panel of white card with the pear and lemon images from the Tutti Frutti stamp set, added stalks and leaves, then drew around the images loosely with a black fineliner for an arty look.  I then added some of the little pip, leaf and circle images inbetween the stamped fruit, then popped the panel up with foam tape onto a 4.5x5.75" card base.  I selectively stamped some of the sentiments from the Tutti Frutti stamp set to create the "are my main SQUEEZE" sentiment which I heat embossed in white onto a strip of black card.  This was popped up using foam pads underneath a die cut YOU sentiment.  A few sparkling clear sequins and it was done!

SugarPea Designs Feb 2019 Release: Day 2

Hi everyone and welcome to the second day of the SugarPea Designs February 2019 release sweet peeks!

We hope you’ll join us this week as we share Sweet Peeks for our NEWEST products, available to purchase in the SPD Store from this Friday, February 15th at 6PM EST.

Today we are sneak peeking the Greatest Hits stamp set together with its coordinating Greatest Hits die set, as well as the Musical Coverplate die and the first in a brand new line of SugarPea STENCILS - Concentric Circles Stencil.

I decided to create an actual turntable for my card.  I rounded the corners of a 72x60mm piece of SU Pool Party cardstock for the base.  The vinyl record and player arm were created using the standalone dies in the Greatest Hits die set.  I stamped one of the centre circle stamps from the Greatest Hits stamp set in red ink onto some white card, then added one of the sentiments in black before cutting it out with the coordinating die.  The 3 different sized black circles were cut using the spotty gift die from the previously released Birthday Journal Card die set.  I simply created the slide using a couple of strips of black card.  The vinyl record and player arm were added to the player base using foam pads and then the whole thing was added to the card front using foam pads.  The stitched rectangle is from the Card Front Element Builder die set.  I then stamped another sentiment from the Greatest Hits stamp set in black under the turnable and finished with some musical notes die cut using the Greatest Hits die set.

The Greatest Hits die set is a really versatile set as includes standalone dies as well as dies to cut out the images from the coordinating Greatet Hits stamp set.  For example, the player arm die is an outline die for the player arm stamp, BUT we've also included 2 pieces to layer on top to use as a standalone non-stamped piece!  The largest circle die cuts out the vinyl record stamp.
