I love my MISTI.  I really don't know how I used to stamp without it!  I use it EVERY SINGLE TIME I stamp (even if I don't really need to, lol!). When the MISTI Creative Corners were launched, I knew that they would be a fantastic addition (particularly for those pesky border stamps that are usually wider than a standard card front and so difficult to line up), so I was excited to try them out!

For today's card I used my MISTI, SugarPea Designs Special Delivery stamp set. and MISTI Creative Corners.

The SugarPea Designs Special Delivery stamp set includes an airmail border stamp that has been designed to be able to be stamped in 2 different colours.  It's quite tricky to line up this stamp for multiple colour and repeat stamping ... but not with the MISTI Creative Corners!  As I wanted to stamp off the edge in the first instance, I placed my cardstock against the bottom edge of the MISTI, but used one of the magnetic corners in the top left corner to allow my cardstock to be moved over yet still secure.   I placed the L-shaped corner against the bottom edge of my MISTI and butted up the border stamp against its top edge for perfect horizontal placement:

Once I'd stamped the airmail border in navy and pink, I moved my cardstock back into the left corner of the MISTI and again used the L-shaped corner to continue the border stamping.

I lined up the second round of stamping by placing the first 'slant image' of the airmail border stamp over the last stamped slant, and then didn't ink that one when preparing for stamping.  This gave continuous spacing.

I then used the triangular corners to help me line up the heart trail stamp:

I love that the L-shaped corner can be used to line up sentiments so that they are perfectly straight!

I turned my MISTI around when lining up the last heart trail (so the lid was on the left). I placed the L-shaped corner against the bottom and right edge, then butted my cardstock up against it, added a magnetic corner to the top left corner of the cardstock (for extra security) and butted one of the triangular corners up against the right edge of the MISTI.

Finally, as I wanted to add hearts of differing sizes, I used the ones from the SugarPea Designs Whatever the Weather stamp set:

I added a strip of pink cardstock, together with a strip of navy and aqua polka dot paper from our *NEW* SugarPea Designs Sugar & Spice paper pad, down the left size, and finished the card with some clear sequins:

Now it's time to hop to Kia's blog, but don't forget to leave a comment here before you leave to be entered into the fantastic PRIZE DRAW.

SugarPea Designs April Release Day!

Hi everyone and welcome to the last day of the SugarPea Designs April 2017 release sweet peeks!

For our final day, we are showcasing the beautiful new Breakfast in Bed stamp set and coordinating die set, plus our sweet incentive stamp set for this month - the fabulous Watt's Up? stamp set.

For my first card I created a 'breakfast in bed' Get Well Soon card using the *NEW* Breakfast in Bed stamp set and SugarCut - Breakfast in Bed die set.  I also used a strip of aqua grid paper from the *NEW* Sugar & Spice paper pad, and my SugarCut - Zig Zag Stitched Rectangles die set:

For my second card I used the amazing Watt's Up? stamp set.  I stamped the 2 different sized hanging bulbs onto my card front, then simply extended some of the hanging cords using a Memento Tuxedo Black ink pen and a ruler.  I coloured the hearts and 'glow' using Copic Markers:

I also added some glossy accents to the glass part of the bulbs:

This Watt's up? stamp set is this month's Sweet Incentive promotion, which means you will receive it FREE when you place an order of $60 or more (excluding discounts and shipping) between April 14 - May 12 2017.

SugarPea Designs April Release Day 4: This Little Piggy

Hi everyone and welcome to the fourth day of the SugarPea Designs April 2017 release sweet peeks!

Today we are showcasing the fantastic This Little Piggy stamp set and its coordinating die set - SugarCut - This Little Piggy.

For my card, I decided to create a pyramid of cute piggies! I stamped the images from This Little Piggy stamp set, coloured them with Copic markers, and cut them out using the coordinating SugarCut - This Little Piggy die set.  The background was created used Tim Holtz Tumbled Glass distress ink, and the sentiment was heat embossed in white onto black card.

I also heat embossed the wings and hula hoops of the piggies using glittery clear embossing powder for a little bit of sparkle (without the mess, hehe)!

SugarPea Designs April Release Day 3: Teacher

Hi everyone and welcome day 3 of the SugarPea Designs April 2017 release sweet peeks!

Today we have 5 school-themed products to introduce, including 3 that I had the pleasure of designing!

This month, we are adding to the ever-growing SPD invetory of 'scape' dies with the brand *NEW* SugarCut - SchoolScape die set.  I designed this set to include a separate road die, as well as lots of additional dies to add detail to the scene.  (FYI - As with all the SPD 'scape' I have illustrated to date, the ends of the SchoolScape and Road die match up to allow you to cut a continuous orientation of the scene).

*NEW* SugarPea Designs: SugarCut - SchoolScape
*NEW* SugarPea Designs: SugarCut - Teacher
*NEW* SugarPea Designs: Class Act
Bazzill cardstock: Coconut Swirl, Blackberry Swirl, Flintstone
Stampin' up cardstock: Real Red

I had a lot of fun piecing together this scene!  I began by cutting out the base scene from dark green cardstock.  I then cut out the school from red card and the bus from yellow card and glued them on top.  I coloured the tree trunks using a brown marker pen, and the flag pole and school bell in black.  I then cut out a second base scene using a lighter green card, carefully snipped off all the elements so that I was left with just the rolling hillside, and glued this on top to hide all the joins.  Finally, I cut out the road from grey cardstock and glued it on top.  I fixed the scene to a panel of light blue card (for the sky) and added a black border to the bottom.  I then set to work cutting out all the little pieces - wheels, flag, clouds, windows, roof detail and door - and added them to the scene.  I used the inlaid die-cutting technique to add the little white pieces to the centre of the road as well as the centres of the bus wheels.  I cut out the *NEW* SugarCut - Teacher word from black cardstock and the individual apple from red cardstock.  The separate apple in this die set fits exactly over the apple shape in the teacher word die!  Finally, a sentiment from the *NEW* Class Act stamp set.

I went a little mad when making cards for this release, and made 3 more with today's products!  I won't go into detail of how I made each of them, else we'll be here all day, haha, so instead, I will list the supplies I used under each card.  With the exception of cardstock and ink, everything I used is from SugarPea Designs (and designed by me!):
