I love my MISTI. I really don't know how I used to stamp without it! I use it EVERY SINGLE TIME I stamp (even if I don't really need to, lol!). When the MISTI Creative Corners were launched, I knew that they would be a fantastic addition (particularly for those pesky border stamps that are usually wider than a standard card front and so difficult to line up), so I was excited to try them out!
For today's card I used my MISTI, SugarPea Designs Special Delivery stamp set. and MISTI Creative Corners.
The SugarPea Designs Special Delivery stamp set includes an airmail border stamp that has been designed to be able to be stamped in 2 different colours. It's quite tricky to line up this stamp for multiple colour and repeat stamping ... but not with the MISTI Creative Corners! As I wanted to stamp off the edge in the first instance, I placed my cardstock against the bottom edge of the MISTI, but used one of the magnetic corners in the top left corner to allow my cardstock to be moved over yet still secure. I placed the L-shaped corner against the bottom edge of my MISTI and butted up the border stamp against its top edge for perfect horizontal placement:
Once I'd stamped the airmail border in navy and pink, I moved my cardstock back into the left corner of the MISTI and again used the L-shaped corner to continue the border stamping.
I lined up the second round of stamping by placing the first 'slant image' of the airmail border stamp over the last stamped slant, and then didn't ink that one when preparing for stamping. This gave continuous spacing.
I then used the triangular corners to help me line up the heart trail stamp:
I love that the L-shaped corner can be used to line up sentiments so that they are perfectly straight!
I turned my MISTI around when lining up the last heart trail (so the lid was on the left). I placed the L-shaped corner against the bottom and right edge, then butted my cardstock up against it, added a magnetic corner to the top left corner of the cardstock (for extra security) and butted one of the triangular corners up against the right edge of the MISTI.
Finally, as I wanted to add hearts of differing sizes, I used the ones from the SugarPea Designs Whatever the Weather stamp set:
I added a strip of pink cardstock, together with a strip of navy and aqua polka dot paper from our *NEW* SugarPea Designs Sugar & Spice paper pad, down the left size, and finished the card with some clear sequins:
Now it's time to hop to Kia's blog, but don't forget to leave a comment here before you leave to be entered into the fantastic PRIZE DRAW.
