SugarPea Designs 3rd Birthday Bash

Welcome to SugarPea Designs 3rd Birthday Bash Celebration!

We are so honored to have the opportunity to celebrate this incredible milestone that all of you helped make happen! Today’s festivities included some incredible inspiration from the SugarPea Design Team and some of our very Special Guests.

Now you can’t have a Birthday Bash without prizes and there are lots of prizes to be won! A few of our blog hop participants will be giving away a SugarPea Designs stamp set, so please leave comments for each hop participant for your chance to win! In addition to this, ONE lucky winner will be randomly chosen from all comments left to receive a $100 Gift Certificate to SugarPea Designs. You have until April 15th to enter to win. Winners will be announced on April 17th.

But that’s not all…we also want YOU to be part of the party by sharing a card with us.

Once you have completed the hop, we’d love it if you’d keep the celebration going, by creating a Birthday card or project and linking it up at the SugarPea Designs Blog for a chance to WIN a Mini MISTI and Creative Corners Tool.

I am honoured and privileged to have been a member of the SugarPea DT since the beginning of July 2014 - that's just 3 months shy of 3 years!  WOW - time certainly flies when you're having fun!  I can't tell you how much I adore Wendy and the company she has built, and it thrills my heart to celebrate SugarPea's 3rd anniversary!

Supplies
SugarPea Designs: Summer Scoops stamp set
SugarCuts - Zig Zag Stitched Rectangles
Bazzill cardstock: Coconut Swirl, Blackberry Swirl
Memento ink: Angel Pink, Rose Bud, Desert Sand, Toffee Crunch, Rich Cocoa, Bamboo Leaves
Versamark ink
WOW! Embossing Powder: Opaque Bright White Super Fine (WL01SF)
Pretty Pink Posh: 4mm & 6mm Sparkling Clear sequins

For my card, I decided to create a stamped background using the yummy Summer Scoops stamp set.  I stamped all the fun images onto a piece of Coconut Swirl cardstock, cut slightly bigger than a standard card front, and then cut it out using the largest die from the SugarCuts - Zig Zag Stitched Rectangles die set (this die is the exact same size as a card front - 4.25x5.5").  I couldn't resist adding the sprinkles to the tops of my ice cream cones, so as I'd stamped my sauce in 'chocolate', I heat embossed the sprinkles using white EP.   The sentiment was white heat embossed onto Blackberry Swirl cardstock and popped up on some foam pads for dimension.  To finish, I added a sprinkling of sparkling clear sequins.

You next stop on the hop is the wonderful Raluca, but here is the entire hop list, just in case:

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Happy hopping!

Hi everyone!

Today is the beginning of a brand new Coffeee Lovers Blog hop! Woo-hoo!  The hop runs from today (March 24th) through March 31st.  There are tonnes of amazing prizes generously donated by sponsors, so be sure to check it out!

SugarPea Designs is one of the sponsors for this event, so of course, I just had to use the coffee-themed goodies I designed for SugarPea Designs for my hop card!

I decided to build some stamped coffee cups using the Caffeine Addict stamp set.   (All the images and sentiments, with the exception of the heart and check mark, are from the Caffeine Addict stamp set).

I did quite a bit of masking, but as the shapes are so easy to cut out, it didn't take very long at all.  To achieve the faded straw inside the iced coffee cups, I simply masked off the coffee cup and stamped the straw at the top of the cup first, then masked this off and stamped the lower portion of the straw in a different, lighter coloured ink. (The pink straw in the green cup was stamped using Versamagic Pink Petunia and Memento Desert Sand, and the brown straw as stamped using Memento Rich Cocoa and Toffee Crunch).  As I coloured everything using Copic Markers, I used Memento ink so I could colour over the straws without worrying about the ink smudging or ruining my markers.

Noted (check mark)

Thanks for stopping by!
