Hi everyone! Welcome to the first day of the
SugarPea Designs April 2016 release sweet peeks!! Can I hear a "woo-hoo"?
Today, we're excited to be sharing three new products that are part of my
Sweet Chic Collection, illustrated by me. We are also beyond thrilled to introduce 3 BRAND NEW product lines to the SPD store: Patterned Paper, SugarPuff foam, and Sparkly Shaker Selections - but more about those in a moment!
I got a little carried away and made 6 cards using these new products, so this will be a very long post - sorry!
Supplies
Bazzill cardstock: Coconut Swirl, Cherry Splash, Tangelo Blast,
Pineapple Blast, Lime Crush, Carribean Breeze, Plum Delight
Tim Holtz Distress Ink: Tumbled Glass
Memento Ink: Tuxedo Black, Love Letter
For my first card, I cut my card front from white cardstock using the largest die from the previously released
Zig Zag Stitched Rectangles die set . I then used the stitched raindrop die from the *NEW*
Whatever The Weather die set to cut the raindrops, and then inked the sky using distress ink. I then set to work cutting out all the pieces for the sun, rainbow, clouds and lightning bolt using the
Whatever The Weather die set, and glued them onto my card front. I stamped the sentiment from the *NEW*
Whatever The Weather stamp set in black ink, and then stamped the 3 different sized hearts included in the same stamp set in red ink.
Supplies
Bazzill cardstock: Coconut Swirl, Tangelo Blast,
Lime Crush, Watermelon Sensation
Memento Ink: Tuxedo Black
For my second card, I trimmed some grey raindrop paper from the *NEW*
Whatever the Weather paper pad and glued it to my card front. I used the *NEW*
Whatever The Weather die set to cut out the pieces for my 3 umbrellas. I cut a 4th umbrella canopy and handle from our *NEW*
SugarPuff foam sheets and glued the pieces to the reverse of the pink umbrella - SO much easier than using fiddly foam pads!! I then stamped the sentiment from the *NEW*
Whatever The Weather stamp set in black ink to finish.
I would like to enter this card into the
Colour Q Challenge #336.
Supplies
Bazzill cardstock: Coconut Swirl, Sweet Pea, Fig Swirl, Date Swirl
Memento ink: Gray Flannel
When I designed the
Whatever The Weather die set, I purposefully gave the umbrella canopy a separate thin surrounding border die to use for shaker cards. For this card, I cut out the second largest die from the
Zig Zag Stitched Rectangles die set from light grey card. I then used the umbrella canopy die from the *NEW*
Whatever The Weather die set to cut out the aperture. I stamped the stitched raindrops and the sentiment in grey ink using stamps from the *NEW*
Whatever The Weather stamp set. I cut some
SugarPuff foam sheets to fit the grey piece of card and cut out the umbrella canopy from that too. I added some acetate to the reverse of the aperture of the grey card panel, and then glued the sugarpuff foam to the reverse. I filled the aperture with
Warm Golden Glow Sparkly Shaker Selection and glued a piece of white card to secure them in place. Then it was just a case of adding all the die cuts from the
Whatever The Weather die set and mounting the panel to a pink card base!
I also made a trio of notelets using the
Zig Zag Stitched Rectangles die set, the *NEW*
Whatever The Weather stamp set, and the *NEW*
Whatever the Weather paper pad.
