Mama Elephant Pandamonium

Happy Friday everyone!

Today I have a card to share using some yummy Mama Elephant goodies .. that I may or may not have had for a while and hadn't inked up yet, hehe!

Supplies
Mama Elephant Stamps: Pandamonium
Mama Elephant Creative Cuts dies: Pandamonium

Mama Elephant Stamps: Labeled Messages
Mama Elephant Creative Cuts dies: Sew Fancy
Bazzill Coconut Swirl cardstock

Tim Holtz Distress ink: Picked Raspberry
Memento Tuxedo Black ink

I started off by covering my card front with some black & white striped paper. I then cut out the stitched panel from Bazzill Coconut Swirl cardstock using the largest die from the Sew Fancy die set.  I masked off a horizontal strip using post-it tape and then inked it using Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Picked Raspberry, then fixed the panel to my card front.

I stamped one of the adorable pandas from Panadamonium in black ink and cut it out using the co-ordinating Pandamonium dies.  Then I stamped one of the sentiments from Labeled Messages (love this set so much!) and cut that out by hand.  I placed both pieces onto my card front so that I could figure out where to stamp the stick from Pandamonium for the panda to hold the message. Once I'd done that, I fixed the panda and the sentiment to the card front using foam pads.

I followed this week's sketch over at CAS(E) this Sketch! #169 for my layout.

Thanks for dropping by.  Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

SugarPea Designs April 2016 release: Day 5 - Chatterbox

Hi everyone and welcome to the SugarPea Designs April RELEASE DAY!

The release will be available to purchase from the SPD store at 6PM EST tonight, but in the meantime we have the last of our amazing April release products to share with you.  Do you love chatting with your friends as much as we do?  Today, we are so excited to introduce the Chatterbox Sentiments stamp set and the coordinating SugarCuts - Chatterbox Journal Card die set. We are also showcasing the awesome Talk is Chic stamp set, which is this release's Sweet Incentive.

For my first card I cut 3 of the stitched Chatterbox Journal Cards from black card, and then heat embossed the sentiments from the Talk is Chic stamp set in white EP.  I heat embossed the hearts from the same stamp set in gold EP for a bit of contrast.  Then all I did was chop them up and glue them to the front of a 105x148mm card front! Easy peasy!

But my second card was even easier to make - it literally took just a couple of minutes!  I simply took one of the papers from the Whatever The Weather paper pad, slapped it onto a 4.25x5.5" card front (no trimming involved as it is already cut exactly to size!), stamped a sentiment from the Talk is Chic stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black, and then added some clear sequins. So easy!!

Remember, our entire April Product Release will be available for purchase in the SugarPea Designs Store ... TONIGHT (Friday, April 15th) at 6:00PM EST!

Would you like to win the Talk is Chic stamp set? All you need to do is leave a comment on the SugarPea Designs blog telling us what your favorite set in the release was this week! Winners during our April Product Release will be announced on Sunday, April 24th.

Thanks for stopping by today!

I stamped and Coipc coloured the 2 standing ducks from the Quackers stamp set, then  cut them out with the coordinating dies.  The umbrella was created using the Whatever The Weather stamp set and coordinating die set. SugarPea Designs April 2016 release: Day 1 - Whatever The Weather

Hi everyone!  Welcome to the first day of the SugarPea Designs April 2016 release sweet peeks!! Can I hear a "woo-hoo"?

Today, we're excited to be sharing three new products that are part of my Sweet Chic Collection, illustrated by me.  We are also beyond thrilled to introduce 3 BRAND NEW product lines to the SPD store: Patterned Paper, SugarPuff foam, and Sparkly Shaker Selections - but more about those in a moment!

I got a little carried away and made 6 cards using these new products, so this will be a very long post - sorry!

Supplies
Bazzill cardstock: Coconut Swirl, Cherry Splash, Tangelo Blast,

Pineapple Blast, Lime Crush, Carribean Breeze, Plum Delight
Tim Holtz Distress Ink: Tumbled Glass
Memento Ink: Tuxedo Black, Love Letter

For my first card, I cut my card front from white cardstock using the largest die from the previously released Zig Zag Stitched Rectangles die set . I then used the stitched raindrop die from the *NEW* Whatever The Weather die set to cut the raindrops, and then inked the sky using distress ink.  I then set to work cutting out all the pieces for the sun, rainbow, clouds and lightning bolt using the Whatever The Weather die set, and glued them onto my card front.  I stamped the sentiment from the *NEW* Whatever The Weather stamp set in black ink, and then stamped the 3 different sized hearts included in the same stamp set in red ink.

Supplies
Bazzill cardstock: Coconut Swirl, Tangelo Blast,
Lime Crush, Watermelon Sensation
Memento Ink: Tuxedo Black

For my second card, I trimmed some grey raindrop paper from the *NEW* Whatever the Weather paper pad and glued it to my card front.  I used the *NEW* Whatever The Weather die set to cut out the pieces for my 3 umbrellas.  I cut a 4th umbrella canopy and handle from our *NEW* SugarPuff foam sheets and glued the pieces to the reverse of the pink umbrella - SO much easier than using fiddly foam pads!!  I then stamped the sentiment from the *NEW* Whatever The Weather stamp set in black ink to finish.

I would like to enter this card into the Colour Q Challenge #336.

Supplies
Bazzill cardstock: Coconut Swirl, Sweet Pea, Fig Swirl, Date Swirl
Memento ink: Gray Flannel

When I designed the Whatever The Weather die set, I purposefully gave the umbrella canopy a separate thin surrounding border die to use for shaker cards.  For this card, I cut out the second largest die from the Zig Zag Stitched Rectangles die set from light grey card. I then used the umbrella canopy die from the *NEW* Whatever The Weather die set to cut out the aperture.  I stamped the stitched raindrops and the sentiment in grey ink using stamps from the *NEW* Whatever The Weather stamp set.  I cut some SugarPuff foam sheets to fit the grey piece of card and cut out the umbrella canopy from that too.  I added some acetate to the reverse of the aperture of the grey card panel, and then glued the sugarpuff foam to the reverse.  I filled the aperture with Warm Golden Glow Sparkly Shaker Selection and glued a piece of white card to secure them in place.  Then it was just a case of adding all the die cuts from the Whatever The Weather die set and mounting the panel to a pink card base!

I also made a trio of notelets using the Zig Zag Stitched Rectangles die set, the *NEW* Whatever The Weather stamp set, and the *NEW* Whatever the Weather paper pad.

As I mentioned at the beginning of this blog post, we are adding 3 BRAND NEW products to the SPD store this month, so here's a little more about them...

SugarPea Designs Patterned Paper Pads are exclusive heavyweight 65lb cardstock paper pads measure 4.25" x 5.5". Designed to make A2 card making quick and easy, but can be also used on any of your paper crafting projects. Our 20 sheet paper pads include 2 each of 10 different designs.

SugarPuff Foam Sheets can be used for unlimited craft projects. Each packages contains (10) "4x6" sheets of 3mm white foam which cuts easily with scissors or any die cutting machine. Create eye catchings accents with your dies and add beautiful dimension to your paper crafting projects.

Each Sparkly Shaker Selection by Little Things from Lucy's Cards consists of a variety of sequins, micro beads, seed beads and confetti shapes. Perfect for creating shaker cards, embellishing scrapbooking pages or using as table confetti...the possibilities are endless!
