WPlus9: Hey Sunshine

Hi everyone!

Today I have a card to share using some WPlus9 dies, available to buy here in the UK from My Mum's Craft Shop.

Supplies
WPlus9 Sunshine Layers die set
WPlus9 Hey Hi Hello die set

Bazzill cardstock: Coconut Swirl, Fig Swirl, Lava, Banana Bliss, Grapefruit Bliss, Sour Apple
SU cardstock: Tempting Turquoise
Pretty Pink Posh sequins: Sparkling Clear 4mm & 6mm

I used the WPlus9 Sunshine Layers die set to cut all the elements for my card, with the exception of the "hey", which was cut using the WPlus9 Hey Hi Hello die set

For my layout, I followed at CAS(E) This Sketch #161 and ColourQ challenge #330 for my colour combination:

I used some Tumbled Glass distress ink to add a little bit of colour to the background before adding my die cuts, and I popped the main die-cut panel up using some funky foam.  I find this to be a lot quicker than using foam pads when popping up a large areas of cardstock.

I have tried to be really good and curb my crafty spending since the beginning of the year, but I just couldn't resist ordering a couple of products from the latest WPlus9 February release!  So the new Bountiful Blooms die set and the Foxy Friends die set will be coming to live with me very soon!  I can't wait to play with them!

Thanks for dropping by.

MFT Stamps: Undeniable Chemistry

Hi everyone!

Today I have a card to share using some new goodies that I bought last month from My Mum's Craft Shop. I have been a fan of My Favorite Things for many years, and as Kitty will confirm, I usually buy one or two items from each release (...okay, maybe a few more than one or two, haha!).  I simply couldn't resist the LLD Undeniable Chemistry stamp set and coordinating Die-namics Chemistry Set from the MFT Stamps January 2016 release.

Supplies
MFT Stamps: LLD Undeniable Chemistry
MFT Die-namics: Chemistry Set
MFT Die-namics: Blueprints 20
Bazzill cardstock: Coconut Swirl, Blackberry Swirl
Tim Holtz Distress Ink Pads: Mustard Seed, Seedless Preserve, Rusty Hinge
WOW Embossing Powder: Opaque Bright White Super Fine (WL01SF)
Versamark ink, White vellum, Silver mirri card

For this card, I wanted to follow both the sketch challenge #266 and the color challenge #38 over at the MFT Card Challenges blog.

I used distress inks to colour both my background and the "liquid" parts of the test tubes and beakers, then randomly flicked drops of water for the "bubbles".  The stitched rectangle is from the Die-namics Blueprints 20 set (one of my favourite set of Blueprints).

The brand new My Favorite Things February 2016 release is now available in the store, along with lots of other gorgeous new products, so maybe a few new stamp and die sets might just *have* to come live with me, haha!

Thanks for dropping by.

Hugs,
