Coffee Lover's Blog Hop Winter 2016: SugarPea Designs


Hi everyone!

A quick post from me today to share my card for this week's Coffee Lovers Blog hop!  SugarPea Designs is one of the sponsors for this event, so of course, I had to use my SugarPea Designs coffee- themed goodies!

First, I cut out my card front using the largest rectangle from the the SugarCuts - Zig Zag Stitched Rectangles die set and then did a little ink smooshing using Peacock Feathers and Mermaid Lagoon distress inks.  I stamped the coffee bean heart from the Caffeine Addict stamp set in Memento Rich Cocoa, then stamped over it in Versamark ink and heat embossed with clear EP (difficult to see in the photo!). The sentiment is from the Espresso Yourself stamp set and was heat embossed in white onto some brown cardstock.  I trimmed it into 2 parts (and also took away the word "a") then fixed it to my card using some foam pads.  Finally, I die cut "Coffee" from brown card using the SugarCuts - Coffee Words die set.

SugarPea Designs October Release: Sweet 2 Repeat blog hop

Welcome to the SugarPea Designs Sweet 2 Repeat Blog Hop! Now that so many of you have our October Product Release in your hot little hands, the SugarPea Designers have put together new projects that will inspire you with even more creative possibilities featuring the newest SugarPea Designs stamp sets, paper pack and SugarCut dies!


I used one of the pre-designed card fronts from the Happy Holidays paper pad for my card. The paper in our pads is already cut to 4.25x5.5" so you don't need to trim them.  Simply remove a sheet from the pad and fix it to the front of your card!  Super quick and easy!   I stamped the large Merry Christmas stamp ftom the O Christmas Tree stamp set in the circle, added some holly cut using the die from the SugarCut - Beautiful Baubles die set, and a few sparkling clear sequins to finish!

SugarPea Designs October 2016 Release: Day 5

Hi everyone and welcome to the last day of the SugarPea Designs October 2016 release sweet peeks! I hope you've enjoyed seeing the Design Team's projects using all the new goodies.

For our final day, we are showcasing two wonderful new die sets that I designed with Wendy -  SugarCut - Beautiful Baubles and SugarCut - For You Tag.


These tag die sets are perfect for creating shaker tags, but I decided to use my *NEW* SugarCut - NativityScape border die with mine to create mini scene tags.  The "Christmas Blessings" sentiment is from the *NEW* O Christmas Tree stamp set, and the "For You" is a die included in the SugarCut - For You Tag die set.

SugarPea Designs October 2016 Release: Day 4

Hi everyone and welcome to the fourth day of the SugarPea Designs October 2016 release sweet peeks!

Today we are showcasing the stamp set that I designed for this release - O Christmas Tree. 


For my first card, I took one of the sheets of paper from the *NEW* Happy Holidays paper pad and fixed it straight to the front of my card base (no trimming required as these papers are already cut to the size of an A2 card front!).  I then stamped the tree outline from the O Christmas Tree stamp set in Versamark ink and heat embossed it using some glittery gold EP (hard too see the glitter from the angle of my photo - sorry!).  Finally, I stamped a couple of the bauble stamps and the star stamp from the stamp set using red and turquoise ink, and it was done!



For my second card, I trimmed a piece of white cardstock and added some die-cut piercing to the left and right edges.  I stamped the tree from the O Christmas Tree stamp set in brown ink and set to work adding the pine leaves using the teeny tiny pine leaf stamp from the same stamp set!  Once that was done, I added some baubles by stamping the smallest circular stamp several times in red ink. The star and sentiment were heat embossed using glittery gold EP.  I layered the stamped panel onto some gold glitter paper and then added it to my card front, which I'd covered with a piece of red & white striped paper from the *NEW* Happy Holidays paper pad.

SugarPea Designs October 2016 Release: Day 3

Hi everyone and welcome to the third day of the SugarPea Designs October 2016 release sweet peeks!

Today we are showcasing the adorable GingerSnaps stamps and dies, together with the fabulous Season's Greetings sentiment stamp set.


I took one of the sheets of paper from the *NEW* Happy Holidays paper pad and fixed it straight to the front of my card base.  These papers are already cut to the size of an A2 card front (4.25x5.5"), so there's no trimming required - super easy!  I stamped a sentiment from the Season's Greetings stamp set in the top right corner, then added a couple of hand-cut banners trimmed from more paper from the Happy Holidays paper pad in the top left corner.  I then stamped and coloured all 5 of the cute little gingerbread people, together with a few of the teeny accessory stamps, from the new GingerSnaps stamp set, cut them out using the coordinating SugarCut - GingerSnaps die set, and added them to the bottom of my card.

SugarPea Designs October 2016 Release: Day 2

Hi everyone and welcome to the second day of the SugarPea Designs October 2016 release sweet peeks!

Today we are showcasing the adorable Come Let Us Adore Him stamps and dies, together with the brand new SugarCut - Nativityscape.

For my card, I decided to focus on the new  SugarCut - Nativityscape die, which I illustrated.  I absolutely adore designing these 'scape' dies for SugarPea Designs!  The night sky was created by blending distress inks: Black Soot, Seedless Preserves, Victorian Velvet and Antique Linen.  I die cut the star from gold glitter paper and also added a strip of this paper along the bottom of the card.  The gorgeous sentiment is from the Come Let Us Adore Him stamp set.

SugarPea Designs October 2016 Release: Day 1

Hi everyone and welcome to the first day of the SugarPea Designs October 2016 release sweet peeks!

We hope you’ll join us over the next 5 days as we share Sweet Peeks for the 12 NEW products that will be available for purchase starting this Friday, October 14th at 6PM EST in the SPD Store.

Today we are showcasing the adorable Here Comes Santa Claus stamps and dies, together with the brand new Happy Holidays paper pad (which I designed!).


For my card, I created a wintery scene using the previously released SugarCut - Log Cabin Mountainscape die set and some distress inks.  I then stamped and coloured one of the Santas from the *NEW* Here Comes Santa Claus stamp set and cut him out using the co-ordinating SugarCut - Here Come Santa Claus die set.  I used the pierced banner die from the previously released SugarCut - Gift Tag die set for my sentiment.

SugarPea Designs August Release: Sweet 2 Repeat blog hop

Welcome to the SugarPea Designs Sweet 2 Repeat Blog Hop! Now that so many of you have our August Product Release in your hot little hands, the SugarPea Designers have put together new projects that will inspire you with even more creative possibilities featuring the newest SugarPea Designs stamp sets, paper pack and SugarCut dies!



My cards were really quick and easy to make.  I simply used 2 different sheets of paper from my brand new paper pad, Countryside Charm, stamped them with sentiments from Chaitali's Lovely Leaves stamp set, and slapped them onto some card bases (no trimming, as the papers are pre-cut to the exact size already).  I added some autumnal die-cuts to the second card which were cut using my previously released SugarCuts - Stitched Autumn Icons die set. A few sparkling clear sequins and they were done. Easy peasy!
