TAWS June Release Blog Hop: Thank You

Hi everyone and welome to The Alley Way Stamps June 2015 release BLOG HOP!

The TAWS DT have been sharing some fantastic creations made with the fabulous June release stamps over the last 3 days, and today we are celebrating their release with a GRAND BLOG HOP!

The full release will be available to buy from The Alley Way Stamps later tonight!

For my hop card, I used 2 stamps from the fantastic *NEW* Lite Brite stamp set to create my one-layer card.  I simply inked the "thank" part of the "thanks" sentiment, and then used the "you" from the "you & me" sentiment. The dotted chevron stamp is from an older TAWS set called Good Point.

Supplies
TAWS Lite Brite stamp set
TAWS Good Point stamp set
Bazzill cardstock: Coconut Swirl, Blackberry Swirl
Memento ink: Tuxedo Black, Rose Bud, Tangelo, Dandelion
MFT Hybrid ink: Blue Raspberry

Sorry the photo is a bit dark.  The weather here in the South West of England has been a bit bleurgh recently - certainly not what you'd expect at the end of May!

I followed the sketch from CAS(E) this Sketch #125 and the colour combination from ColourQ ##292.

This fabulous 3x4" mini stamp set, Brain Freeze, is FREE when you spend $40.00 or more (before shipping) at The Alley Way Stamps store during the month of June 2015.

PRIZE ALERT ... Would you like to win all 3 of the 4x6" new stamp sets? Hop on over to The Alley Way Stamps blog to get all the details and enter the Rafflecopter draw.  Be quick, as the contest is running for TODAY ONLY!!!!

So now it's time for you to continue the hop by hopping to Tanja's blog, but here is the full hop list, just in case!

Thanks for stopping by today and happy hopping!

Clam: E70 E71 E77

Hi everyone! Today I have an underwater card to share using all 4 of The Alley Way Stamps May release stamps!

I started by creating a curved mask using a curved edge die, then taped the negative to the top of a 148x105mm piece of Bazzill Coconut Swirl card and inked the sand using Tea Dye distress ink.  I then covered the inked sand with the other part of the mask and inked the water using Salty Ocean and Broken China distress inks.  I stamped the coral from Little Fellas in Memento Love Letter ink, then heat embossed the sentiment from All Washed Up in white.  Then it was just a case of stamping the whale, starfish and clam from Something's Fishy, together with the seaweed from Gill-Friend, and colouring them with Copics (numbers listed above).  I fussy cut them out, added them to the card and ... voila!

TAWS: True Blood

Supplies
The Alley Way Stamps: Ooh La La (lipstick mark)
The Alley Way Stamps: All Washed Up (teeth & blood drip)
The Alley Way Stamps: Alphabet Soup (sentiment)
Memento ink: Tuxedo Black, Rhubarb Stalk
Copic markers: E41; R59 R37 R32
Glossy Accents

Hi everyone! I have a TAWS card to share today inspired by one of my favourite TV programmes (which has now sadly finished) ... TRUE BLOOD!

I was putting away my Ooh La La and All Washed Up stamp sets when inspiration struck!  I spied the lipstick mark from Ooh La La and the water droplets from All Washed Up and immediately thought of one of the iconic symbols from True Blood!  To create the vampire teeth, I simply stamped the larger water droplet from All Washed Up twice onto some scrap paper, and then drew a horizontal line across them both. I added a tiny bit of shading with Copic marker E41 and then cut them out and glued them to the lips. The blood drip was created by stamping the smaller water droplet from All Washed Up in Rhubarb Stalk and then colouring with Copic markers. I added some glossy accents to the teeth and the blood drip for a bit of dimension (although it's hard to see in the photo). Finally, I stamped the sentiment (which is the name of the title song of the TV series) using Alphabet Soup.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

MISTI

Happy Saturday everyone!  Today I have a The Alley Way Stamps card to share using an older set called Ooh La La.

First, I created a striped background by stamping the long border stamp from Ooh La La 5 times using Memento Rose Bud ink.  I used my MISTI to help me line it up perfectly!

To create the lipstick, I first stamped the lipstick image from Ooh La La onto my Copic paper in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured the top pink with Copic markers (colours listed above). I then stamped the image a second time in Versafine Onyx Black ink onto some gold glitter paper and embossed it with some black embossing powder.  I cut out the bottom part and glued it on top the first to create a pink lipstick with a gold, sparkly case!

The glittery eyeshadow palette was created by stamping the square stamp from Ooh La La in Versamark ink onto some scrap paper 3 times and heat embossed them with some silver, teal and pink glittery WOW! embossing powder.  I stamped a 4th one onto the reverse of the gold glitter paper.  I then carefully cut them all out and glued them onto a square of black card.

I made this card for my niece's birthday as she loves make-up!

Again, I followed the fabulous sketch at CAS(E) this Sketch! #123 for my layout:
