SPD March Release Day 2: Picture Perfect & Hashtag Hipster

Hi everyone and welcome to Day 2 of out SugarPea Designs March Release!

Today, we are sneak peeking 2 new stamp sets - Picture Perfect and Hashtag Hipster.

For today's card I have used the fabulous Hashtag Hipster stamp set (which also happens to be this month's free Sweet Incentive stamp set - yay!) to make a masculine birthday card:

I really like the current trend of adding thread/twine behind images.  I wanted to add some black twine behind the gold heat embossed phone, but I only have sewing thread (which is far too thin and doesn't "loop" nicely) or natural twine, which is very rustic.  So I went with the rustic twine, as the card looked bare without anything behind the image.  I'm happy with the card ... but I'm not happy with "hairy" twine, haha!  A few weeks ago I needed to buy some gold twine to use on a magazine commission, and quite by chance whilst in Hobbycraft, I spied some gold crochet thread, which was perfect (and not hairy, lol!).  I'm kicking myself that I didn't pick up a ball of black at the same time, as I think it would have been perfect for this card, so I think a trip to the store is on the cards very soon! :)
