Please visit the Whimsy blog for a full reveal of this month's new release.   The entire new release is available to buy from the Whimsy Stamps store RIGHT NOW, and if you love our new clear line as much as we do, why not ask your LSS to stock it!

I created some mini notecards for today's make.  Sorry the photo isn't the best!  I used the Speech Bubble border die to cut the bottom of 3 panels of white card.  I then die-cut the word THANKS from them all and stamped a different sentiment from the Thanks A Million stamp set underneath.  Finally I adhered the panels to notecards made from different coloured cardstock.  It was a bit fiddly to get the THANKS word die lined up correctly to cut it out of the white card.  The photo doesn't show the dimension very well, but hopefully you get the idea.

Clearly Whimsy Stamps August release - Day 2

Hi everyone and welcome to DAY 2 of the ...

This week we are releasing 3 new clear stamp sets and 4 coordinating die/die sets, and they are available to buy from the Whimsy Stamps store RIGHT NOW and all good Whimsy Stamps retailers from TOMORROW.

Yesterday we introduced THANKS A MILLION and BASIC BACKGROUNDS AND BORDERS 1, and today we are excited to introduce you to SAY WHAT? stamp sets and dies! Hop on over to the Whimsy blog to take a peek at the new products.

For my card, I have used the new SAY WHAT? STAMP SET and the coordinating SPEECH BUBBLES die set.  I really love the die set as not only does it have 4 speech bubble dies to be able to cut out the 4 corresponding speech bubble outlines from the stamp set, it also has lots of little dies that you can use to cut out shapes from the speech bubbles!  The "HELLO!" is one die, and the 5 tiny stars are actually one die too, so they are easy to line up and cut out! :)  I have used the heart and the 5 stars die to cut out shapes from my speech bubbles:

Supplies
Clearly Whimsy Stamps Say What? stamp set
Whimsy Stamps Speech Bubbles die set
Bazzill cardstock: Date Swirl, Berry Sensation, Kachina, Mexican Poppy, Sour Apple, Love Potion

SugarPea Designs: SPDSS10 Sugar Sketch Challenge

Happy Monday everyone!

We have a brand new SugarSketch challenge starting today over at SugarPea Designs and here is my take on it:

Supplies
SPD Spare Me stamp set
Memento ink: Love Letter, Teal Zeal, Tuxedo Black
Bazzill cardstock: Bahama, Grenadine
Copic markers

I inked up some of the accessory stamps from the Spare Me stamp set for my card.  I created the background argyle pattern by stamping the largest solid diamond stamp in red and teal, and then stamped the largest outline diamond stamp in black over the top.  Yes, it took a little bit of patience and time, but I love the effect you can create yourself with just a few simple stamps!

Here is our fantastic SugarSketch SPDSS10:

SugarPea Designs: SPD08 Challenge - Anything Goes

Happy Wednesday everyone!

It's time for a brand new SugarPea Designs monthly challenge, and this month we have the theme of Anything Goes

All SugarPea Designs stamp sets come with a fantastic selection of sentiment stamps, and most have cute accessory stamps too, so for today's card, I decided to use the 3 star stamps and one of the sentiment stamps that are part of the Pure Magic stamp set:

Supplies
SPD Pure Magic stamp set
Versamagic ink: Eggplant, Pretty Petunia
Momento Dew Drop ink: Summer Sky, Pistachio
MFT Die-namics: Little Letters

I started with a 100x148mm piece of plum card and die cut 3 circles from it using my nestabilities.  I then inked up the "Every little thing you do is magic" sentiment stamp from the Pure Magic stamp set with Versamark ink, making sure I didn't ink the very last word "magic".  I stamped and heat embossed it with white EP and added some die-cut letters underneath to spell out the word "magic".  I stamped the 3 different star stamps from the Pure Magic stamp set in various inks onto the front of a white base card.  Finally I adhered the die-cut circle panel onto the front of the card using foam pads.  I followed CAS(E) this Sketch #88 for my layout, and I used the colours of this week's new ColourQ challenge #255:

We've LOVE for you to play along with us!  Here are the rules...
  • Play along with any stamp you like!  The winner is chosen at random to keep things fair, but if the winner's project features a SugarPea Designs stamp, we'll increase the voucher to $15!
  • Feel free combine our challenge with any other challenge(s).
  • Upload to your blog or other online gallery using keyword: SPD09 so that we can easily find your work
  • Add your link to the linkup on the SugarPea Blog. You'll find direct links to our current challenges on the sidebar.

Thanks so much for dropping by today and I hope you have an awesome rest of the week!

SugarPea Designs: SPDSS09 Sugar Sketch Challenge

Happy Tuesday everyone!

A brand new SugarSketch challenge started yesterday over at SugarPea Designs and here is my take on it:

Supplies
SPD Pure Magic stamp set
Alphabet stamp set
Momento Tuxedo Black ink
Copic markers
Echo Park 12x12 paper: Dots & Stripes Metropolitan
DSM1006 (blue striped)
Fancy Pants 6x6 paper pad: Down by the Shore (red; red spotted)

I inked up some of the stamps from the Pure Magic stamp set for my card.  This darling set comes with 2 different sized spade stamps, and I used them (along with a "J" stamp from a different alphabet stamp set) to create my playing card!
