Clearly Whimsy Stamps April Release - RELEASE DAY HOP!

Hi everyone and welcome to the Clearly Whimsy Stamps April Release BLOG HOP!

All 9 new clear stamp sets AND 8 coordinating die/die sets are now available to buy from the Whimsy Stamps store!

Today we are excited to introduce you to the final stamps and die of this month's release - two FAMILY WORDS stamp sets and a coordinating WONDERFUL WORD die! Hop on over to the Whimsy blog to take a peek at the new products.

The DT are holding a blog hop to celebrate this month's release.  The hop starts today and ends on Sunday April 27th at 12.00PM EDT.

PRIZE ALERT ... One lucky hopper will win 2 new release stamps sets and 1 coordinating die! To enter the draw, simply leave a comment at EVERY stop along the hop!

For my first card, I used stamps from both of the new FAMILY WORDS stamp sets together with the WONDERFUL word die.  The flower head and leaf stamps are from the IN THE GARDEN sets that we previewed yesterday.  I'd like to enter this card into the Splitcoast Stampers Clean & Simple CAS269 challenge as well as the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge (which is Clearn & Simple):

For my second card, I used the Family Words 4x6 stamp set together with the Wonderful word die. The world stamp and the airmail border stamp used to stamp the red/blue/white stripes down the left and right sides of the card are from the Travel 2 - Happy Travels stamp set, and the small airplane stamp (which I stamped in red and cut out) is from the Travel 1 - Life is a Journey stamp set. The large airplane die cut was cut using the airplane die from the Leaving on a Jet Plane die set.

I'd like to enter this second card into this week's Addicted to CAS Challenge #36 which is Far Away.

So now it's time for you to continue the hop by hopping over to Heather's blog!

I really hope you've enjoyed our new release!

Thanks so much for stopping by today and happy hopping!

Clearly Whimsy Stamps April Release - Day 2

Hi everyone and welcome to DAY 2 of the ...

This week we are releasing 9 new clear stamp sets and 8 coordinating die/die sets, and they will be available to buy from the Whimsy Stamps store and all good Whimsy Stamps retailers from TOMORROW (23 April).

Yesterday we introduced COFFEE BREAK and HAPPY HELLO, and today we are excited to introduce you to HAPPY TRAVELS and IN THE GARDEN stamp sets and dies! Hop on over to the Whimsy blog to take a peek at the new products.

For my first card today, I used both Travel stamp sets and the Candid Camera die set together with the chevron and circle stamps from the Happy Hello stamp set from yesterday.  This is my favourite card from all the cards I've made for this release, and it really does make me smile! :)  So I would like to enter it into this week's Less is More #168 challenge:

Supplies
Clearly Whimsy Stamps: Travel 1 - Life is a Journey
Clearly Whimsy Stamps: Travel 2 - Happy Travels
Clearly Whimsy Stamps: Happy Hello
Whimsy Stamps: Candid Camera die set
Memento ink: Tuxedo Black, Nautical Blue, Pistachio, Grey Flannel
Doodlebug Kraft in Color 12x12 paper: Lily White Dot/Grid
Doodlebug Kraft in Color: Assorted Sequins

For my second card I went for a more muted colour palette (although it's still green & blue..this was not deliberate, lol!) and used the bird, soil mound and sentiment stamp from the In the Garden 4x6 stamp set, together with all the In the Garden coordinating fence, grass and watering can dies:

Supplies
Clearly Whimsy Stamps: In the Garden 4x6 stamp set
Whimsy Stamps: Watering Can die
Whimsy Stamps: Fence & Grass die set
Memento ink: Rich Cocoa, Toffee Crunch, Teal Zeal
Cardstock: Bazzill Kraft, Core'dinations
Paper: MME
Natural twine

I was going to mask the fence, grass and soil stamps to create a stamped scene, but I was too lazy, lol, so I used the dies instead.  For the soil mound, I simply stamped the image in Toffee Crunch onto kraft card and cut it out!  As you can see, I paper pieced the watering can, which was very easy to do - I simply followed the embossed lines of the design when cutting!

Clean & Simple Stamping: FTL288

As soon as I saw this fortnight's Clean & Simple Sketch FTL288 I knew that I just had to join in and use my Feeling Fruity Additions Apple 3x4 photopolymer stamp set from Clearly Whimsy Stamps!

Supplies
Clearly Whimsy Stamps: Feeling Fruity Additions - Apple 3x4 stamp set
Memento ink: Love Letter, Olive Grove, Rich Cocoa
Copic marker: YR31
Bazzill cardstock: Grenadine
Doodlebug Kraft in Color: Kraft 6x6 paper pad
Versamark ink, White Embossing Powder

http://www.whimsystamps.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=81_82&products_id=3084

It did take a little bit of time and care to get the stamping just right for this card.  I started off by drawing a pencil grid on a piece of white card.  I then stamped all of the outlines of the apples using the largest stamp in the Feeling Fruity Additions stamp set in Memento Love Letter ink.  Once that was done, I used my stamp-a-ma-jig to help me stamp the polka dot shape inside each alternative apple, again in Love Letter ink.  I then stamped the little pips in the middle of the remaining apples in Rich Cocoa and coloured them with my YR31 Copic marker.  Finally I stamped the little stalk and leaf with Olive Grove.  Once I was happy with my stamping, I trimmed the panel, matted it onto red card, and popped it up with foam pads onto a card base covered with patterned paper. Finally a  sentiment from the same stamp set (stamped in versamark and heat embossed in white) to finish!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Tang-tastic!

Happy Thursday everyone!

I have a quick card to share today using some of my new Clearly Whimsy Stamps products. The orange slices were made using the Fruit Trio die set and the sentiments are from the Sweet As Candy - Sweet Sentiments 4x6 clear photopolymer stamp set.

Supplies
Whimsy Stamps Fruit Trio die set
Whimys Stamps Sweet As Candy Sweet Sentiments stamp set
Cardstock: SU Bermuda Bay, Core'dinations Tangerine (CO030), White
Doodlebug 6x6 paper pads: Kraft in Color - Kraft (turquoise gingham),

Kraft in Color - Color (orange polka dot)
Memento Ink: Tuxedo Black & Tangelo
Orange/White Baker's Twine

For my layout, I followed this week's Mojo Monday sketch #340.  I was also very inspired by this week's ColorQ Challenge colour palette - love it!  The only SU colour I have is Bermuda Bay (which I used for the bottom layer), but I tried to pick colours that were very similar for the rest of the card:

Sweet as candy!

Happy Saturday everyone!

Now that Whimsy Stamps have a new line of clear photopolymer stamps, I thought I'd play along with a few CAS challenges.

SUPPLIES

I'd like to enter this card into this week's colour challenge #166 at Less Is More, which is A Touch of Turquoise.  And for my layout, I followed the current CAS(E) this Sketch #71:

I had a couple of inky "accidents" when making this card (i.e. I *thought* I had clean fingers, but it turned out that I had a bit of ink on them which then transferred to the card *sigh*).  All I can say is "thank goodness for sequins", lol! A few placed strategically over the smudges and the card was rescued - yay!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Hope you have a wonderful weekend.

Hugs,
