Happy Christmas Eve everyone!! Today I am sharing my card for the final day of the Whimsy Stamps 24 Days of Christmas Event.

For those of you who don't know, the Whimsy Stamps design team have been holding a fun event on the Whimsy blog in the run up to Christmas. Each day from the 1st to the 24th of December, a member of the design team has shared a brand new Whimsy holiday creation and today's it's my turn to share the very last day's creation!

For my card I inked up the adorable Snowflake Bauble rubber stamp illustrated by Jo Davies of Time For Tea Designs for Whimsy Stamps. My sentiment is from the Holiday Sliders 3 stamp set and I cut it out using the coordinating Slider 3 die. I also used the fabulous Tall Timber die, the Rocking Horse die and one of the dies from the Ornaments die set as embellishments:

Supplies
Whimsy Stamps rubber stamps: Snowflake Bauble and Holiday Sliders 3 set
Whimsy Stamps Shapeology dies: Tall Timber and Rocking Horse and Slider 3 and Ornaments set

GIC26: Pink with a pattern

Hi everyone!

It's time for a new challenge at the Graph'it Markers blog and it's the turn of Team B to provide you with some Graph'it inspiration! Our challenge this week is PINK WITH A PATTERN

I decided to use this really cute Sew and Sew digital stamp, illustrated by Emma Canning for Polkadoodles:

Graph'it Markers
Skin: 4180 4155 4115 4125 4120 Blush: 4135 4145
Hair: 3250 3245 3210 4110
Skirt: 8220
Pink Fabric: 5230 5130 5120 0000
Sewing Machine: 4110
Shading: 9503 9500 0000

I coloured the piece of fabric she is sewing in pink and then added a polka dot pattern using my blender pen.  I also decided to paper piece her shirt to match the background paperr.

I used the *NEW* brush nibs in three of the markes I used to colour her hair (3250 3245 3210).  Until now I have only added brush nibs to a few of the skin colours that I use, as I find I can achieve great blending using the bullet nibs and have therefore felt no need to swap all my chisel nibs to brush nibs.  However, I am really pleased with how fine I was able to make the strands of hair using the brush nibs, so I think I will invest in a few more packs and swap the chisel nib for a brush nib in the markers I like to use for different hair colours!

So now it's your turn to get creating! You have until Sunday 29th December 2013 at noon GMT to enter our Pink with a Pattern challenge. As always, there is an awesome prize up for grabs and the lucky winner of this challenge will be announced on the blog on Friday 3rd January.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Whimsy Stamps: Wee Stamps Silver Fairy

Hi everyone! I'm so sorry I haven't posted in over a week. I've been flat out making samples for a Graph'it Marker show on Create Craft TV, finishing magazine commissions and trying to organise Christmas in between, lol!

So today I thought I'd share one of a set of 4 cards I made for issue 124 of Cardmaking and Papercraft magazine. I was asked to make 4 alternative color winter/Christmas themed cards using the Basic Grey Persimmon pad. For this one, I inked up the beautiful Whimsy Stamps Silver Fairy.

I used the Whimsy Stamps Lavish Flourishs stamps around the edge of the image panel.  The corner was cut using one of  the Whimsy Stamps Corner Dies and the holly leaves are from the Whimsy Stamps Hollys and Berries die

Thanks so much for popping by today!

Paperbabe Stamps December release - FABULOUS Everything

Hi everyone!

Welcome to our final day of Paperbabe Stamps December release sneak peeks. Today the DT are sharing cards made with the gorgeous Fabulous Everything stamp set. This is one of three stunning word art stamp sets that Kim is releasing this month. All new stamps will be available to purchase from the Paperbabe Stamps store on Friday 6th December.

Each of the December release stamp sets includes a different patterned stamp which you can use like washi tape or use to add a pattern to the main word stamp by using it as a kissing strip.  I decided to use all 3 of the patterned stamps to create a washi effect background for my card.  Originally I tried stamping the patterns onto vellum for a truly authentic washi tape look, but the ink I used smudged, so I guess I'll have to wait until I get some suitable ink before trying out that idea, lol! So I stamped directly onto the card instead:

The striped pattern stamp is from the Happy Thoughts set, the spotty pattern from the Just Because set, and the heart pattern from today's Fabulous Everything set.  Once I'd stamped my washi tape background, I stamped the decorative word outline stamp in black and then coloured it in with a black pen. The "Have A" and "Birthday Mum" stamps are actually 4 separate stamps that come with the Fabulous Everything set.  I love having separate stamps, as you can decide exactly where to put them. A few black half pearls and dew drops, and it was done!

Be sure to stop by the Paperbabe Stamps blog to take a peek at Kim's beautiful samples together with the links to Chris's gorgeous new release creations.

Paperbabe Stamps December release - HAPPY Birthday

Hi everyone!

Welcome to Day 2 of the Paperbabe Stamps December release sneak peeks. Today the DT are sharing cards made with the gorgeous Happy Thoughts stamp set. This is one of three stunning word art stamp sets that Kim is releasing this month. All new stamps will be available to purchase from the Paperbabe Stamps store on Friday 6th December.

The Happy Thoughts stamp set has a total of 15 top quality clear stamps. I have stamped the solid "happy" word stamp 4 times in 4 different colours, and then stamped "Birthday" in black at the bottom.  A really quick and simple CAS card, but perfect for men I think! :)

Paperbabe Stamps December release - Because you INSPIRE me

Hi everyone!

It's release week at Paperbabe Stamps!! WOO-HOO!!  Today the DT are sharing cards made with the gorgeous Just Because stamp set. This is one of three stunning word art stamp sets that Kim is releasing this month. All new stamps will be available to purchase from the Paperbabe Stamps store on Friday 6th December.

The Just Because stamp set has a total of 16 top quality clear stamps. I have stamped the solid "because" word stamp in pink, then stamped the beautiful word outline (hand drawn by Kim) in black. The "You" and "INSPIRE me" are just 2 of loads of different text stamps that are included in the set, and because they were separate, it allowed me to ink the word inspire in pink! The set also includes a polka dot pattern stamp which you can use like washi tape (as I have done down the left side of my card) or to add a pattern to the main word stamp by using it as a kissing strip.

Be sure to stop by the Paperbabe Stamps blog to take a peek at today's DT samples.
