Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps 3rd Anniversary BLOG HOP!

Hello and welcome to the Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps 3rd Anniversary Hop! Not only are we here to help Sparkle celebrate 3 years of SCRS, but we are also officially releasing 4 new SCRS images this month -- Paris Lucy, London Charlotte, New York Josh, and Seattle Chloe. They are ALL available in the store NOW!

We have assembled an all-star line-up consisting of our Current Design Team, DT Alumni and Guest Designers. Click on all the links at the end of this post to participate in our anniversary blog hop!

What's a hop without prizes? We've hidden TEN single stamp prizes along the way and one lucky winner will win the ENTIRE July release! All you need to do is leave some love at every stop along the hop. You have until 11:59PM EST on Sunday to leave comments for a chance to win! Winners will be announced on the SCRS blog on Monday.

My mojo has gone walkabouts lately (it's probably off enjoying the heatwave, lol!), so I have been checking out the sketch challenge blogs for some inspiration. Well, as soon as I saw Jen's Deconstructed sketch 110 this week, I knew exactly what I wanted to do with it! I trimmed four squares of white card, then used my stamp positioner thingy to help me stamp Beach Chloe in the same position on each of the squares. I've never coloured an image in B&W before, but I *think* it turned out okay in the end? I thought the Party Time die cut (cut using my Whimsy Stamps Birthday Sentimentables die set) was the perfect finishing touch for my anniversary hop card!

Sorry for the rubbish photo.  Unfortunately our basic digi camera (it's a Canon IXUS 860 IS) is starting to die a death! :(  Once you have turned the camera on and taken one photo, the focus completely ceases to work!!  If you want to take another, you have to turn the camera off and on again.  Apparently it's a known fault of these Canons.  I've tried all the recommended "tricks" to try to fix it, but it's having none of it!!  So guess what we'll be doing this weekend ... camera shopping - eek!!  If anyone has any recommendations, I would LOVE to hear them as there are SO many on the market, it's a bit mind boggling, lol!

Anyway, now it's time for you to continue our hop by hopping over to Amy's blog, but don't forget to leave me a comment first to entire to win the entire July release!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Good luck and Happy Hopping!

Graph'it Challenge #4: Black Hair

Hi everyone!

WOW! What a glorious week it's been weather-wise here in the South West of England, with temperatures  hitting 30C every single day - phew! Thankfully we nabbed 2 of the last remaining fans (...in the whole of the city I think, hehe!) at the weekend, and they have been switched on almost constantly!  I do love the sun, but I'm afraid I don't love the extreme heat, so I've been staying inside, trying to keep cool and colouring with my delicious Graph'it markers (and I must say that the heat doesn't affect them AT ALL!).

So today it's the turn of Graph'it Challenge Team B (that's me, Cara, Debbie and Kevin) to provide you with some Graph'it inspiration! Our challenge this week is a BLACK HAIR. Pretty self-explanatory I think!

For my challenge card I used papers and a digi stamp from the brand *new* Polkadoodles Bonbon Belles Double CD Collection. The image is called 'Heather (with wings)' and the papers are from the 'Apple Lagoon' collection.  I bet you didn't know that Graph'it Markers come in no less than FIVE different tones of grey - Cool, Warm, Neutral, Green and Pink.  I only have some of the Neutral Greys so I used those to colour my black hair:

Graph'it Markers used:
Skin: 4155 4115 4125 4120
Blush: 4135 Lips: 5120 Eyes: 8220
Hair: 9509 9507 9505 9303 9501
Jacket & Shoes: 7160 7150 7140
Trousers: 8110 7210 0000
White shading: 4110 0000 Wings: 8110 7210
Flowers 7160 7150 7140 7210 1210 8260 8220

So now it's your turn to get creating! You have until Sunday 28th July at noon GMT to enter our Black Hair challenge. There is a FAB-U-LOUS prize up for grabs (worth a whopping £30!!!) and the lucky winner of this challenge will be announced on the blog on Friday 2nd August.

Thanks so much for stopping by and I'll be back tomorrow with my Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps anniversary hop card! It really is GO, GO, GO this week, lol ... and I still have magazine commissions to finish - eek!

Hi everyone!

So did you join in our first Graph'it Challenge last week? Team A's creations were blow-you-away fantastic weren't they?  Well this week it's the turn of Team B (that's me, Cara, Debbie and Kevin) to provide you with some Graph'it inspiration! Our challenge this week is a BIRTHDAY challenge, so we want to see birthday cards. As a little extra, the team were also challenged to use bright and bold colours this week, so you may want to grab your sunglasses before you hop around our blogs, lol!

For my challenge card I decided to ink up my Whimsy Stamps Airborne rubber stamp (illustrated by KennyK) and paired him with some Simple Stories Urban Traveler 6x6 papers. I want to give a shout-out here to my lovely friend Heidy Blom!  Heidy made a fabulous card using this image and she added flame detail to the underside of the skateboard.  I loved it so much that I just had to do it too! Thank you Heidy for the fabulous inspiration!

Now remember the team is totally new to these markers - we've only had them for a few weeks - so we are all still learning.  I did stamp out 4 of these images as I thought I'd probably mess them up, but amazingly this is my first attempt - they are SO easy to use!  Yes it's official - Graph'it Markers ROCK!!

Supplies
Whimsy Stamps Airborne rubber stamp
Memento Tuxedo Black ink pad
Graph'it Markers (colours listed below)
Simple Stories Urban Traveler 6x6 paper pad
Bazzill Night Mist cardstock
MFT Die-namics: Lead The Way

Graph'it Markers used:

Hair: 3290 3250 3245
Red: 3180 5245 5220 5210 4135
Yellow: 3250 3245 1280 1180 1150 1110
Blue (jeans): 7180 7170 7125 7115 7105
Grey: 9505 9503 9501
White: 9501 9500 Blender
Green: 9505 9280 8220

I initially set out to follow Karen's FAB sketch #187 over at Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge, but as I was working on the card, I kinda went off on a tangent a bit, lol!  I will enter this into the challenge anyway, but Karen, if it doesn't qualify, please go ahead and take me off! :)  I'd also like to enter this card into this fortnight's challenge over at Kenny K's Krafty Krew Challenge (#150) which is Teenz Rock!

So now it's your turn to get creating! You have until Sunday 14th July at noon GMT to enter our Birthday challenge. There is a FAB-U-LOUS prize up for grabs and the lucky winner of this challenge will be announced on the blog on Friday 19th July.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Paperbabe Stamps Launch Party Blog Hop!!

HELLO EVERYONE and WELCOME to the Paperbabe Stamps Launch Party Blog Hop! I'm sure you know the amazingly talented crafter, Kim Costello aka Paperbabe? Well Kim has launched her very own stamp line, Paperbabe Stamps, and I am beyond thrilled to be part of the Blog Hop to debut her very first collection! Thank you Kim for inviting me to play with your fabulous stamps!!

The debut release features 3 fabulous stamp sets - "Tree Hugs", "DesignA Knit" and "Ribbed Background" - and they are NOW in the Store to buy, woo-hoo!! Also, the long awaited "MayLeeDee" is available as digital download for INSTANT gratification! And that's not all ... there are svg files to help cut some of those images out!!

For my card I used the "DesignA Knit" stamp set (below) and the "Knitables" cut files.

Paperbabe Stamps - DesignA Knit

I stamped one of the solid knit patterns in Memento Rose Bud ink several times onto white card to build up a knit pattern for my top and bottom borders. I stamped one of the open knit patterns in Memento Rich Cocoa ink onto the sock monkey svg file. I then used an E70 Copic marker to colour in the knit. The gorgeous sentiment is from the same stamp set. I love it because the "your" is actually a separate stamp, so you can stamp it in a different colour like I have done! I did add my own punched heart to the sock monkey's tummy, just because I thought it went with the sentiment, but everything else (apart from the twine, cardstock & ink of course!) is from Paperbabe Stamps! Oh and this was my first attempt using the stamps and as you can see a perfect impression and so easy to line up!

If you've stumbled across my post and would like to hop with us, be sure to hop back to Kim's blog to start the hop.  Then hop you way to the PAPERBABE STAMPS blog to see the endless possibilities with this new debut collection.  Don't forget to leave your comments along the way as there are some fabby prizes to be had!

To sweeten the deal in celebration of this new collection, there will be individual prizes given out as well as one ENTIRE release to a lucky winner! Yep, that's a LOT of prizes! So, here's what's up for grabs...

1 winner will be chosen to win the TREE HUGS SET

1 winner will be chosen to win the DESIGN A KNIT SET

1 winner will be chosen to win the RIBBED BACKGROUND Stamp

1 winner will be chosen to win the MAYLEEDEE DIGI

and ONE GRAND PRIZE WINNER will receive THE ENTIRE RELEASE for JULY!!!

That's a LOT of chances to win! So go, hop, party and be amazed... Here's where you want to be:

THANK you so much for joining us on this Launch Party.  Kim will announce the winners on the Paperbabe Stamps Blog on July 12th! You have until the July 10th to hop with us and enter to win!
