Whimsy Stamps Prints Collection BLOG HOP!

Hi everyone and welcome to the Whimsy Prints BLOG HOP!

In October, Whimsy Stamps announced the release of a BRAND NEW Whimsy Stamps product line - the Whimsy Prints Collection.

The Whimsy Prints Collection are beautiful sets of hand-colored images which have been digitally reproduced and die-cut into various shapes. Whimsy Prints are printed on 100lb premium coated paper and professionally die-cut leaving smooth edges. Each pack contains 12 die-cut prints (3 sets of 4 images).

The Crissy Armstrong prints are lovingly hand-colored by Crissy Armstrong herself:

The Elisabeth Bell prints have been hand-colored by our Senior Designer Simonne Clay (...that's me, tee hee!):

Whimsy Prints Collection are very straight forward and easy to use. They can be attached directly to your project with glue or double sided tape. Use them as is or cut to fit the needs of your project. One of the benefits of using Whimsy Prints is to cut back on the amount of time needed to hand color images. To summarize, it is a great way to make quick projects when time is of the essence! These are also wonderful for beginner crafters and kid projects.

If you joined us for our last 2 releases, you may have seen some of the beautiful projects our DT and Special Guests have created using these prints. Today we are showcasing these gorgeous Whimsy Prints with a special BLOG HOP! In addition to our regular Special Guests, we are delighted to welcome both Crissy Armstrong and Elisabeth Bell who are joining us for this hop!

The hop starts today (Friday November 30th at 12.00PM EST) and ends on Monday December 3rd at 12.00PM EST.

For this hop we have 4 different candy stops where you can enter to win a set of Whimsy Prints ... and I'm one of the mini candy stops!!! So if you would like to win a set of Whimsy Prints, just pop your details into InLinkz at the end of this post!

If you would like to hop along with us today and haven’t arrived from the Ellie's blog, please CLICK HERE to return to the beginning of the hop at Bev's blog.

For today's card I used SkippyDee and Bella. I must apologise as this card isn't quite finished, plus I had terrible trouble taking a decent photo as it's SO dark today!  I've been in pain with a toothache since lunchtime. :( Unfortunately it's a tooth that I had root canalled about a year ago, but thankfully I have managed to get a appointment with my dentist for tomorrow.  I will finish embellishing this card tomorrow and then upload the finished version!

Also, as I'm very close to 700 followers, I thought I would start putting together a followers candy in readiness for when I (hopefully!) hit the 700 mark!! So watch this space!

Remember that the entire new release is available to buy right now from the Whimsy Stamps store along with all your Whimsy favourites.

For my creation today I decorated a Tando Creative chipboard stocking sent to me by a wonderful friend (thank you!!!!) and used the gorgeous *new* Cardinal in Winter rubber stamp. I have to confess that I didn't know what a cardinal looked like, but once I'd googled it, I tried to replicate the colours and markings as best I could with my Copics.

For a full reveal of this month’s fabulous release, please visit the Whimsy blog.

For today's card I used the adorable Angelica rubber stamp, illustrated by Sylvia Zet. I also used the amazing *new* Snowflake Border die.  This is such a fantastic die!!! You can, of course, use it as a border, but it has been designed so that each of the snowflakes can be snipped off in their entirety and used individually! To create the snowflake doily, I die-cut 3 snowflake borders from white card and cut them down to the size I wanted. I attached one strip to the top and one to the bottom edges of my image plate, and then snipped the 3rd border into individual snowflakes and "filled in the gaps" on the left and right sides! Soooo versatile!

I have added some Stickles glitter glue to the snow, angel wings and halo, but as the weather is just awful for taking photographs at the moment (and I don't have anything other than a point and click camera!), you can't really see the sparkle.

Whimsy Silver Fairy

Happy Wednesday everyone!

I was going through my blog at the weekend, updating a few things and doing a bit of general housekeeping, when I spied a few draft blog posts that I never got round to finishing and posting! *rolls eyes* LOL! So today I thought I'd share with you a card that I made for a past issue of the Whimsy Stamps Inspirations Magazine (issue 5, page 42) that I never got round to blogging!  It was for the Company Team-Up feature we did with Cheery Lynn Designs.

The gorgeous rubber stamp is called Silver Fairy and was designed by Sylvia Zet of Wee Stamps for Whimsy Stamps:

I stamped some Whimsy Stamps Lavish Flourishes around the image to frame it and the gorgeous sentiment is from the Whimsy Stamps Winter Notables 1 stamp set.  Papers are from an older Cosmo Cricket 6x6 pad and the snowflake dies are all from Cheery Lynn Designs.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Christmas Card Trio

Hi everyone!

Today I have some Christmas cards to share with you that I made for issue 98 of Cardmaking & Papercraft magazine.  As this commission was published a year ago, I am now finally able to share it on my blog! Yay!

The brief for this commission was to make 3 cards with the Bonus Papers that come as a free pull-out in the middle of the magazine.  The idea is to give readers some inspiration and card ideas that they can make straight away with the papers and 'staple' stash they already have in their cupboards.

For my first card I decided to replicate the star and round baubles from the paper:

For my second card I made a quick and simple tree by punching some scallop circles of green card, cutting them up and sticking them down in a tree pattern:

My final card is very non-traditional in colour, but I actually really love the orange/purple combo! I highlighted the orange/white stripey stockings in my choice of ribbon:

Really quick cards that you can make with you basic craft stash!  Inexpensive and perfect for those last minute cards!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Hugs,
