Wee Stamps for Whimsy Stamps BLOG HOP


Hi everyone and welcome to the Wee Stamps for Whimsy Stamps BLOG HOP!

On Sunday, Whimsy Stamps announced the wonderful news that they are exclusively releasing Sylvia Zet's beautiful wee stamps collection in rubber!

Whimsy Stamps is releasing 6 new Wee Stamps for Whimsy Stamps today and these new goodies are available to buy right now from the Whimsy Stamps store along with all your Whimsy favourites. The Whimsy Stamps DT and Special Guests have been showcasing these fabulous stamps for the past 3 days, and today we are celebrating their release with a BLOG HOP! We are delighted to welcome our wonderful special guests who are joining the Whimsy DT for this hop - Alberto Gava, Mariska van der Veer, Jacque Beddingfield, Dena Concienne, Tab Robinson and Sylvia Zet herself!

The hop starts today (Wednesday October 5th at noon EST) and ends on Tuesday October 11th at noon EST.

For my blog creation I used the gorgeous Sweet Blossom.  Usually I pick my paper after I've chosen my image, but this time I actually chose my flowers first!  I have a small box of WOC flowers and one of the colours I haven't really used is lilac/purple. I thought the softness of this colour went beautifully with this image... but I couldn't find some lilac pattern paper to match!  Ha ha! After pulling out ALL of my 6x6 pads, I eventually managed to find this piece from my Basic Grey Kioshi 6x6 pad - phew!  I'm quite pleased with how my colouring turned out (although I think her face is a bit bright).  I was trying to get a softer feel, which is quite difficult with Copics, but I think I managed it ... just!

    I love purple and pearls so how could I not love your card. So balanced and the coloring is wonderful..just wonderful. You are so lucky that after choosing the flowers you were able to get the rest to go together so well, usually when I try that it becomes much more work than its worth.
