Victoria Case for SCACD Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Victoria Case for SCACD new release BLOG HOP!

The fantastic Susana's Custom Art & Card Design Design Team are joining forces with the Quixotic Paperie Design Team for this blog hop, and we have six new 'Aurora' stamps from the Victoria Case for SCACD line to show you today!

For US/Canada customers, the new stamps are available to buy from today from Susana's Custom Art & Card Design store.  And if you're in the UK/Europe, you can buy them from Quixotic Paperie!

If you would like to participate in the hop and you didn't arrive here from Anki Bargman's blog, then click here to return to the start of the blog hop at Elaine's blog, as you don't want to miss these fab new releases!

For my card I have used this gorgeous Victoria Case for SCACD 'Walk in the Park' stamp - isn't she the cutest?  You can buy her HERE from Quixotic Paperie (available in the US from SCACD).

I decided to use my brand new Echo Park 'Life is Good' paper from the Collection Kit - I love this paper, and I think it's Echo Park's best line yet!  I paired it up with some Core'dinations 12x12 Colorcore cardstock in Vanilla Cream and French Roast, and used my trusty Versamagic dew drop in Jumbo Java to ink around the edges.  I've followed the fabulous Sweet Stop Sketch #66 but omitted the sentiment, as I'm not sure who this card will go to and for what occasion!

Supplies available to buy from Quixotic Paperie and/or SCACD:

Victoria Case for SCACD Aurora 'Walk in the Park' stamp
(available from Quixotic Paperie and SCACD)
Memento Tuxedo Black Ink Pad
(available from Quixotic Paperie and SCACD)
DP from Echo Park 'Life is Good' Collection Kit
(available from Quixotic Paperie)
4mm Chocolate Heart-shaped Pearls
(available from Quixotic Paperie)

So now it's time for you to continue the hop and hop your way over to Carolyn Bounds blog. But of course I'd be ever so grateful if you left me a comment first! *wink*

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:  Creative Inspirations #71 Animals, Simon Says Stamp 'Dotty', Sweet Stop Sketch #66 and PaperPlay #30 Anything Goes.

Thank you for stopping by today - have fun on the hop!

You're Fabulous Sketch Saturday & Your Next Stamp!

Happy Saturday everyone!

Today I'd like to share with you my combined DT card for Your Next Stamp Challenge #21 and Sketch Saturday #113.  YNS Starlet Cabio has chosen the theme of  EASEL CARDS and of course we have another gorgeous sketch from Jo at Sketch Saturday (which I turned 90 degrees to the right):

I have used my Your Next Stamp You're Fabulous stamp set  to create my card - this 'fabulous' stamp set (which comes cling-mounted) includes 9 stamps (I have used 4 on my card today)! The DP is from a MME 6x6 paper pack that came 'free' with a cardmaking magazine (I never buy magazines, but I spied this one in Sainsbury's of all places, and couldn't resist the paper, hee hee!)

This sentiment was created using 2 stamps - "You're" and "Fabulous".  The stamp set also comes with 2 further sentiment stamps - "Fun" and "Stylish" - so you can mix and match to make lots of combos!

The stamp set has 4 accessory stamps (shoe, x2 bags, ring) including this bag (although I wiped off the handle so it could fit my SU punch!):

Finally, I added this super Tibetan Silver bag charm...
***I will soon be selling these and other charms!***

Before I go, I have some YNS news to share...

- Don't forget that Your Next Stamp rubber stamp company is currently holding a DESIGN TEAM CALL!  We are looking for new DT members to start on 1st September.  You have until 31st July (2010) to get your applications in and you can read in full how to apply HERE.

- Karen is holding a Your Next Stamp 20% off SALE in celebration of her father's birthday. The sale will end at midnight (EST) on Monday 26th July 2010 and you will need to enter the code DAD2010 at the checkout to receive 20% off your entire order!

Do pop on over to YNS Challenges and Sketch Saturday to check out what the rest of my wonderful teamies have created.

Thanks for dropping by!

Quixotic Paperie & SCACD Viva Decor Blog Hop!

For those of you who stop by here regularly, you will know that Elaine has recently added the Viva Decor product line to Quixotic Paperie. Well, the Quixotic Paperie Design Team have all fallen in love with Viva Decor, and so we're having a little blog hop to celebrate!

We're super excited that the fantastic Susana's Custom Art & Card Design Design Team are joining us for this hop! Susana is a good friend of Elaine's and SCACD has become like an international sister store to Quixotic Paperie! We're collaborating on some crafty adventures, and hopefully this is the first of many!

We hope you will join us on this hop and be inspired in ways to use the Viva Decor product range! You will also have the chance to win some fabulous candy - both Elaine and Susana will be giving away a pack of the most popular Viva Decor Pens (Ice White Pearl Pen, Holographic Glitter Liner and the Clear Gloss Gel Pen).  All you have to do to win is answer a question at each store blog - 1 entry at each STORE blog per person please! Both blog candy draws will close on 31st July 2010.

In the UK/Europe you can find Viva Decor products at Quixotic Paperie. If you're in the US/Canada then Susana carries the Viva Decor range at Susana's Custom Art & Card Design.

So, onto the hop! You should have hopped over here from Carolyn Bounds. If not, you might want to pop over to the Quixotic Paperie Store Blog and start from the beginning!

For my card I have used the adorable Elisabeth Bell for SCACD Heartstrings stamp (this stamp is also available in the US from Susana's Custom Art & Card Design):

I used my Viva Decor Glitter Liner in Bronze to extend the branches of the cherry blossom trees of the DP and to highlight the girl's shoes, dress and birdhouse, and finally added some tiny glitter 'pearls' around the nestie shape.  I used my Viva Decor Pearl Pen in Ice White to add centres to the middle of the tiny Prima pink flowers and also to add detail to the punched butterflies.

Full list of supplies available to buy at Quixotic Paperie and/or SCACD:

Elisabeth Bell for SCACD Heartstrings
(available from Quixotic Paperie and SCACD)
Viva Decor Glitter Liner in Bronze
(available from Quixotic Paperie and SCACD)

So now it's time for you to continue the hop and hop your way over to Anki Bargman.  But of course I'd be ever so grateful if you left me a comment first! *wink*

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:

1. Sweet Stop Sketch Challenge #65 - I have followed the fab sketch, but I've just realised that I haven't used a tag- oops! Hope that's still okay!

Quixotic Challenges : Miniature!

Happy Wednesday everyone!  This week's Quixotic Challenge has been chosen by Kim C who is challenging us to make Miniature cards - small cards or notecards no bigger then 3 inches.

This was quite a challenge, as my usual cards are a lot bigger .. just shy of 6 inch square!!  However, after pondering for a moment, I suddenly had an "a-ha" moment and knew the PERFECT stamps to use ... the brand new Whimsy Stamps Birthday Letter Seals (available HERE from Whimsy Stamps, or if you're in the UK/Europe you can buy them from Elaine at Quixotic Paperie HERE).

As you can see, this fabulous stamp set comprises 3 circular stamps and 6 sentiment stamps. I chose to use the 'birthday wishes' circular stamp and stamped this using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  I then used my Woodware Stamp Positioner to add the "time to celebrate" sentiment in the middle.  As this card was so small, I was able to use up some of my scraps from my Cosmo Cricket DeLovely 6x6 paper pad.

Supplies used available to buy from Quxotic Paperie:

Do pop on over to the Quixotic Challenge blog and have a look at the gorgeous miniatures the rest of the DT have made!

Thanks for popping by and have a wonderful day!

Sparkle Creations Challenge #2: Sketch by Mary

Hello everyone and welcome to Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps Challenge #2!  This week we have a wonderful sketch by Mary for you to follow.

As soon as I saw this sketch I just knew I had to use my Turntable Josh stamp and make those circles into a vinyl record!!  I used a mathematical compass to draw the large black circle as my nesties weren't big enough!  I then positioned some circle nesties on top of the cut-out black circle and drew around them using my embossing tool to create the grooves of the record! (You may have to click on the pic to enlarge to see this better!).  Once I'd finished I thought it looked a wee bit plain, so I did some doodling - adding a musical stave across the yellow piece of paper, some wiggly lines to 'frame' the card, and finally some hand-drawn musical notes (using black dew drops and flatback pearls for the note-heads).  The only thing I don't like about this card is the white border around the image, but as I wanted to include the music drifting out of the record player, it had to stay!

I also have a new watermark, custom made for me by Ann Vento!  You can purchase your custom watermarks and signatures HERE!

Before I go, I just want to remind you of the Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps Challenge Info.....

- Challenges will go live on the SCRS blog every Monday @ 9 PM PST (Tuesday @ 5am UK time) and the deadline for entering will be the following Sunday @ 9 PM PST.

- The prize each week will be 1 stamp to a randomly picked winner!  In order to qualify for the prize, you must use a SCRS image, which you can buy from HERE.

Thanks for popping by!  See you tomorrow for my YNS and Quixotic Paperie Challenge DT cards ... although they may be a little late as my 1 hour appointment at the dental hospital yesterday turned into a whole-day debacle!!  So I'm playing catch-up somewhat!!

Whimsy Stamps NEW Rubber Release BLOG HOP!

Hello and welcome to the Whimsy Stamps new release BLOG HOP!

The DT have some fabulous new Whimsy stamps to show you today!  We have a gorgeous new Whimsy Carousel Horses stamp set entitled Moonlit Ride plus 2 wonderful image stamps entitled Jelly Bean and Maya and Marissa  from the pen of the amazing Crissy Armstrong.  In addition to these, we also have some SUPER DUPER sentiment stamp sets from our very own and wonderful Ann Vento of Raindrop Echo Designs : Birthday Letter Seals, Handmade Letter Seals, and Fancy Friendship Tags

These new stamps are available to buy from today in the Whimsy Stamps store along with all your Whimsy favourites!  And if you're in the UK, you can buy the new releases at Quixotic Paperie!

If you would like to participate in the hop and you didn't arrive here from the amazing and oh-so-sweet Crystal's blog, then click here to return to the start of the blog hop at the wonderful Chris's blog, as you don't want to miss these fab new releases!

The hop starts today (Monday 19th July at noon EST) and ends on Monday 26th July at noon EST.  [Both these dates are rather special to me as the hop starts on my little sister's birthday and ends on our darling daughter's birthday! Hee hee!]

As always, here at Whimsy, we have a fab prize for you to win! One lucky winner will be randomly drawn to receive the ENTIRE rubber release!!  Yes, that's right - all 6 stamp sets!  Can I hear a "WOW"? LOL! So make sure you hop through the entire hop and leave a comment on EVERY blog post along the way to be in with a chance to win!

I've already previewed the Maya and Marissa stamp on Saturday for my Sketch Saturday DT card (CLICK HERE to see this), so I chose to use Moonlit Ride for my creation today.  This stamp set includes the pony stamp, 3 sentiment stamps and 1 accessory stamp.  I chose this fabulous DCWV paper (which has glittery accents) and so wanted to colour my horse with a midnight blue body and a golden mane and tail.  I was a bit stuck as to how to achieve a good golden colour with depth and highlights, but my wonderful Whimsy DT sister and all-round AMAZING Copic artist, Annika, came to my rescue (have you seen what she does with Copics - WOW!!!!).  She suggested some 'golden' Copic colours to me, but as I didn't have them all, I ended up using YR23, Y17 and Y21.  But what was I to use for the deep shadowing?  Annika told me she used E99 and E39 for the shadowing, so as I didn't have these, I went for the next best thing and used E37, blending it out with YR23.  I would never have thought to use a deep brown to shade!  THANK YOU so much Annika!!!  You're a STAR!

Speaking of the lady herself, it's time for you to hop on over to the fabulous and super-talented Annika's blog as she's the next stop on the hop ... but of course I'd be ever so grateful if you left a comment first!! *wink*

Ooh, and I also want to remind you that there's still plenty of time to enter our Whimsy July Challenge - full details can be found over on our Whimsy Inspirations Blog.

Thanks so much for hopping along with us today!  I hope you enjoy our new releases!

Hey everyone!

This week over at Sketch Saturday we have another fab sketch by the wonderful, talented, all-round sketch-tastic Jo, and this week we are being sponsored by Bunny Zoe Crafts!

Whimsy Stamps is gearing up for a brand new rubber release on Monday 19th July, and this stamp is a sneak peek of one of the fabulous new stamps that will available to buy then!  This particular image was drawn by the wonderful Crissy Armstrong and is called "Maya and Marissa".  You can see this stamp again over at Crystal's blog and Debbie's blog where they have showcased it so wonderfully!  We're having a fantastic blog hop on Monday to celebrate the new release, and I will have another card to show you using a different stamp.  So be sure to pop back then as the grand prize is something you won't want to miss! *wink*

As you can see, I tried a completely different style for this card, and I have to say that I love it!  I was really scared to use the white card blank as a background, and shock-horror ... I didn't use any Core'dinations card!!  Hee hee!!

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Quixotic Challenges : Harvest Jade

Hello again!  It's Wednesday afternoon again and so time for a brand new challenge at Quixotic Challenges!  This week it's my turn to set the challenge and I have chosen this photo to use as inspiration!  There's lots in this to inspire you ... textures, colours, shapes, patterns, materials ... etc.

For my card I have pulled the colours of yellow and turquoise, plus used black as my accent.  I also used the leaves as inspiration, and this Basic Grey 'Harvest' paper from the Urban Prairie range was a perfect fit!

I used 'Jade' from TGF Roll Call stamp kit (available HERE) and followed Mary's fabby Farm Fresh Friday sketch over at The Greeting Farm's blog.  This card took a while to figure out, but it was pretty simple in the end : some Basic Grey paper, Core'dinations Colorcore cardstock, Nestabilities, Ribbon and some 4mm black flatback pearls (available HERE) and it was done!

Elaine has very recently started to stock a fabulous range of products from Viva Decor, including Pearl Pens over at Quixotic Paperie!  Although I haven't used one on this card, they make a wonderful alternative to flatback pearls ... not least in that they are a LOT less fiddly to attach and you can make them the exact size you want!   Viva Decor pearl pens come in a fantastic range of gorgeous colours.  So make sure you hop on over to Quixotic Paperie and grab yourself one (or many!) before they sell out! And while you're there, why not add a Glitter Liner and a Gloss Gel pen to your basket too!

Do hop on over to the Quixotic Challenge blog and take a gander at what the other fabby DT girls have come up with!

Thanks for popping by - have a fab day!

Sparkle Creations Challenge #1: Anything Summer

Hey everyone!

Welcome to the very first Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps Challenge, which is .... ANYTHING SUMMER!

For my challenge card I choose to use Cocktail Emily and coloured her to match my Cosmo Cricket Early Bird papers!  I loved working with this week's sketch over at Friday Sketchers so much, that I used it again!  Huge apols for the poor quality of my photo.  My digi camera is not a very expensive one, and for some reason it really doesn't photograph anything with red in it correctly - makes the card really dull!  When I took this photograph it was drizzling slightly so I couldn't take it outside, but as soon as it dries up and the sun peeks out, I'll take another and update.

As this is our very first challenge at Sparkle Creations, here is some challenge info for you...

- Challenges will go live on the SCRS blog every Monday @ 9 PM PST (Tuesday @ 5am UK time) and the deadline for entering will be the following Sunday @ 9 PM PST.

- The prize each week will be 1 stamp to a randomly picked winner - FAB right?!  In order to qualify for the prize, you must use a SCRS image, which you can buy from HERE.

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:

1. Bunny Zoe Crafts Challenge #2 - Summer Days
2. Friday Sketchers Challenge #110
3. Pollycraft Monday Challenge #52 - Bold & Bright

Thanks for popping by - see you tomorrow for my Quixotic Paperie Challenge DT card!

Simply Summer London

[click on the pic to enlarge]

Hey everyone!

Hope your weekend has been a good one?  For me, not so much, but life throws stuff at you that you just have to go with sometimes...

Anyway, I've had this adorable stamp since they were first available for pre-order and have only just got around to inking her up (slap my wrist!).  She is called 'London' and is from the 'My Kids Emo World' line of stamps at Simply Betty Stamps.

There's a little guessing game going on over at the Simply Betty Stamps blog at the moment. The new Emos are being released on July 15th, and since July 4th Betty has been posting teeny tiny snippets of the new images.  The game is to guess the new theme, create something using a Simply Betty stamp in your guessed theme, and then post a link to it HERE.  The game has been really hard, as the snippets don't give much away, LOL!, but I think the new theme is SUMMER as I'm sure I can see a sandal, some printed shirts (a bit like Hawaiin shirts?) and some bare arms, LOL!  ... so I have created a card with London standing in a field on a summer's day!

I've also followed the great sketch #110 over at Friday Sketchers.

Thanks for popping by today and I shall be back very soon!

Sparkle Creations: Grand Opening BLOG HOP!

Welcome to the Grand Opening blog hop for Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps!

Today is an exciting day as we're releasing 8 new darling stamps! And we're giving away a ton of prizes! One lucky person will win the grand prize of all 8 images.  There are also 5 single stamp prizes hidden, so make sure you comment on everyone's blogs! You will have until midnight Eastern time to comment and the winners will be announced on the Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps blog.

If you'd like to participate in the hop and you didn't arrive here from the amazingly talented Donna's blog, then please pop on over to the beginning of the hop at Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps.

So for my Grand Opening Blog Hop card, I decided to use the adorable Cupcake Ruby stamp. I paired her with some Basic Grey 'Nook & Pantry' 6x6 paper - initially I intended to use the actual cupcake paper that comes in this pad, but after colouring her, I decided these papers went best (and of course I got to use my favourite colour orange, hee hee!):

[Click on the pic to enlarge]

I used some SU Kraft card as the base together with some Core'dinations ColorCore 'Roasted Pepper' cardstock (my very last piece - *sob* because I can't find anymore!).  I also used the fab Viva Decor Pearl Pen in Ice White on either side of the sentiment to make different sized pearls!

[Click on the pic to enlarge]

I've followed Jo's fabulous sketch for this week's Sketch Saturday challenge #101.

Sparkle will be offering free standard shipping for all orders over $25 for the weekend (til midnight EST Sunday), and the code is FREESHIP.

So now it's time for you to hop on over to the fabulous Rachel's blog ... but remember to leave me a comment first if you want to be included in the prize draws!! ;o)

Thanks for hopping along with us today!

So I have a card to show you today that I made using the adorable Sparkle Creations Lantern Rin stamp and my Basic Grey Kioshi paper.  I really love how this card turned out (and it's my own sketch for once - wonders will never cease, LOL!), but I'm not sure whether I should have left off the black organza ribbon?  Can't take it off now, as it's well and truly stuck, hee hee!

YNS Challenge #20: Flower Power

Happy Wednesday everyone!

This morning I'd like to share with you my DT card for Your Next Stamp Challenges.  It's Starlet Angela's turn to set the theme for Challenge #20 and she has chosen... FLOWER POWER!  So we want to see you use flowers as embellishments, flowery paper, flowery embossing, flower punches, etc....

Dopey old me thought that Your Next Stamp was sponsoring Off The Wall Craftiness this week and so I combined that challenge with today's YNS challenge card.  Then I checked the OTWC blog and saw that I am a week behind myself, LOL!  It was last week's OTW challenge YNS sponsored - so I am a week late! Doh! Sorry everyone!! :o)

So this week I have used my new Hula Hoop Fhiona stamp to create my card and followed the fab sketch at The Sweet Stop.  The DP is from my Cosmo Cricket DeLovely 6x6 paper pad, accented with some Fuschia Fizz Core'dinations cardstock.  If you click on the picture of my card to enlarge it you'll see that I've glittered-up Fhiona's pink hula hoop to make it nice and sparkly and also added a heart pearl to accent her hairband.

Don't forget that Your Next Stamp rubber stamp company is currently holding a DESIGN TEAM CALL!  We are looking for new DT members to start on 1st September.  You have until 31st July (2010) to get your applications in and you can read in full how to apply HERE.

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:

1. The Sweet Stop SSS63 Challenge - Sketch
2. TotallyPaperCrafts Challenge 23 - One of the Girlies
3. Magical Crafts Challenge 18 - Flower Power
4. Quirky Crafts Challenge 31 - Ribbon

Do pop on over to YNS Challenges and check out what the rest of Starlets have created.

Thanks for dropping by!

Hugs,
