TAWS February Release Blog Hop!

Welome to The Alley Way Stamps February 2015 release BLOG HOP!

The TAWS DT have been sharing some fantastic creations made with the fabulous February release stamps over the last 3 days, and today we are celebrating their release with a GRAND BLOG HOP!

The full release is available to buy from The Alley Way Stamps later tonight!! Woo-hoo!

For my hop card, I used several stamps from the fantastic *NEW* Branching Out stamp set to create a cute forest sunrise scene card:

Supplies
The Alley Way Stamps: Branching Out stamp set
Memento ink: Tuxedo Black

Tim Holtz Distress ink pads: Chipped Sapphire, Dusty Concord, Picked Raspberry,
Spiced Marmalade, Mustard Seed, Peeled Paint, Shabby Shutters
Copic Markers: Trees E49 E47 E44 E43,

Fox E18 E19 E08 E15 YR16 E13 W3 W1 W9;
Toadstools E18 R27 R05 R02
Whimsy Stamps Stitched Border Trio die set
Whimsy Stamps Stitched Clouds die set

I used several different colours of distress ink pads (listed above) to create the sunrise background, blending each line of colour into the next to create secondary colours. I then created the ground by blending Peeled Paint and Shabby Shutters distress inks onto 2 pieces of white card with edges cut using the wavy die from my Stitched Border Trio die set.  All the images from Branching Out were coloured with Copics, fussy-cut out, and added to the scene. I did add some glossy accents to the tops of the toadstools, but it might be a bit difficult to see in the photo.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

- Less is More #209: Little Ones (I have used tiny toadstools on my card, and a cute "little" fox critter)
- Cards und More #124: Animals
- Cuttlebug Mania: Wildlife
- Simon Says Wednesday Challenge: Anything Goes
- Mod Squad Challenge: Animals

This super adorable mini set, Moosing You, is FREE when you spend $40.00 or more (after shipping) at The Alley Way Stamps store during the month of February 2015. How awesome is that?

TAWS February Release Day 1: Stumped

Hi everyone! Welcome to Day 1 of The Alley Way Stamps fantastic February 2015 release - woot woot!!

We are sneak peeking the *NEW* Stumped stamp set today, which will be available to purchase from The Alley Way Stamps store at 10pm (mountain time) on Wednesday 31st January.

Stumped is a 4x6" clear stamp set packed full of wonderful woodland themed stamps.  I have used 3 of them on today's card - the tree stump, the darling squirrel, and the cute acorn:

Supplies
TAWS Stumped stamp set (available 31/01/15)
Bazzill cardstock: Bahama, Killarney, Blackberry Swirl, Coconut Swirl
Memento ink: Tuxedo Black

Copic Markers: Stump E49 E47 E44 E43; Squirrel W7 W5 W3 W1 E42 E41;
Acorns E59 E37 E35 E33 E31
Doodlebug Twine: Beetle Black
Whimsy Stamps: Basic Border Trio die set
Whimsy Stamps: Say What? Speech Bubbles die set
Provocraft Cuttlebug die-cutting machine

First, I die-cut a tiny zig zag border along one of the edges of a 105x25mm piece of Bazzill Killarney cardstock using one of the dies from my Basic Border Trio die set, then fixed this piece along the bottom edge of a 105x70mm piece of Bazzill Coconut Swirl cardstock.  I glued this panel to a 105x148mm piece of Bazzill Bahama cardstock, added some Doodlebug twine, and then fixed it to a 105x148mm card base.  I stamped the darling squirrel, tree stump and acorn stamps from Stumped, coloured them with Copics (colours listed above), and fussy cut them out. I glued 2 of the acorns to the right of the panel, and then popped up everything else using self-adhesive foam pads.  Finally, I used my Say What? Speech Bubble die set to cut out a speech bubble from Bazzill Blackberry Swirl cardstock, then I used the separate "HELLO!" die that comes in the set to cut out said word from the speech bubble.  I was going to add it to the card using foam pads, but decided it looked better glued directly onto the background, which meant I could glue the middle part of the "O" back in.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

- Cards und More #124: Animals
- Cuttlebug Mania: Wildlife
- Simon Says Wednesday Challenge: Anything Goes
- Addicted to Stamps and More #129: CAS

If you hop on over to today's sneak peek post on the The Alley Way Stamps blog, you will be able to see the rest of the team's awesome Stumped sneak peek cards, plus there is an opportunity to WIN this fantastic stamp set!  Be quick, as the contest is running for today only and will close at 7pm mountain time tonight (that's 2am tomorrow morning for my UK friends!).

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Doodlebug Sequins

For today's The Alley Ways Stamps card, I have used a couple of stamps from the darling Cake Day stamp set.

I started by adding a black and white striped border to the right edge of a 105x148mm card base. I trimmed a 98x148mm piece of my Copic colouring card and then stamped the super cute gift stamp 6 times down the right edge in black ink.  (I used my stamp positioner to make sure each one was placed perfectly!).  I then coloured them with my Copic markers (colours listed above) and fixed the panel along the left edge of the card base.  For the sentiment, I carefully inked up "celebrate" of the "celebrate you" sentiment stamp from Cake Day in Versamark ink, stamped it onto a scrap of black card and heat embossed it with my favourite white embossing powder.

Originally, I was going to cover each gift with glossy accents and then sprinkle the tiniest amount of fine loose glitter whilst it was still wet, but my glossy accents isn't behaving itself at the moment, so I think I need to relent and buy a new bottle.  I really love the look of sequins on a card, but I have a very hard time using them (I prefer enamel dots or enamel accents), but as I wanted a bit of sparkle, a few sequins made there way onto the card anyway, lol!

I followed CAS(E) this Sketch #106 for my layout:

SPD 1st Birthday Bash!

SugarPea Designs is so excited to be celebrating our 1st Birthday – and what an amazing year it has been!! We are celebrating this momentous occasion with a Blog Hop featuring our AMAZING SugarPea design team and some very talented Special Guests!

Supplies
SugarPea Designs: Special Delivery stamp set
SugarPea Designs: SugarCuts - Air mail die set
SugarPea Designs: SugarCuts - Heart Journal Card die set
SugarPea Designs: SugarCuts - Special Delivery Accents die set
Bazzill cardstock: Date Swirl, Berry Sensation, Watermelong Sensation
Core'dinations cardstock: Thimbleberry
Memento ink: Grey Flannel

For my card, I used lots of new goodies from our January release, and also followed our current SugarSketch #18 for my layout.  I used one of the dies from the SugarCuts - Air Mail set to die cut the airmail slots along the bottom of a 105x51mm piece of white card.  I masked this part using post-it notes and then stamped the 2 letter stamps from Special Delivery in Memento Grey Flannel ink several times.  I fixed a piece of Bazzill Watermelon Sensation cardstock to the reverse of the white panel so that it would show through the die-cut airmail slots, and then added the panel to a 105x148mm Bazzill Date Swirl card base using foam pads.  The word "love" and the 3 hearts in the top right corner were cut using dies from the SugarCuts - Heart Journal Card set.  I also added an envelope which was die-cut using the cute stitched envelope die from the SugarCuts - Special Delivery Accents die set.  Finally, I stamped another envelope from Special Delivery in Memento Grey onto a scrap piece of white card, fussy cut it out, and slipped it into the slot in the envelope.  I ran the stitched envelope die through my Cuttlebug one last time using Bazzill Watermelon Sensation cardstock, discarded the envelope, but glued the teeny tiny heart onto my stamped letter.

Now you can’t have a Birthday Bash without PRIZES, and there are lots of prizes to be won along the way! A few of our blog hop participants will be giving away a SugarPea Designs stamp set, so please leave some love on your travels. TAWS: Raining Love

Supplies
The Alley Way Stamps: Bubbly stamp set
The Alley Way Stamps: get MOOvin' stamp set
Versamark ink; Memento ink: Gray Flannel
SU cardstock: Melon Mambo, Wisteria Wonder
Bazzill cardstock: Moody Blue, Wildberry Pie, Date Swirl
WOW! Embossing Powder:  Bright White Super Fine (WL01SF);

Happy Saturday everyone!  I have another TAWS card to share today using the fabulous cloud stamp get MOOvin'. This time I stamped the cloud in Versamark ink straight onto my Bazzill Date Swirl card base, and heated embossed it in white.  I drew the stitched lines using a grey fineliner and added die-cut hearts beneath each one.  The sentiment is from one of our *new* January stamp sets, Bubbly. I stamped it in grey ink onto a scrap of SU Melon Mambo cardstock, cut it out and then glued it to the card front.  To ensure the individual letters were in the exact right place, I stamped the sentiment onto the card front first, and then glued the letters on top! Easy peasy!

Again, I followed ColourQ #275 for my colour combination:

TAWS Adore You and WINNER of my giveaway!

I have a brand new The Alley Way Stamps card for you today, but before I get to the card I have the winner of my TAWS birthday giveaway to announce - woot woot!  Thank you to everyone who visited me and left such wonderful comments! You are the BEST! Mwah!

Without further ado, the winner of the fantastic Mrs Roger's Neighborhood stamp set is ... *drum roll*...

Huge congratulations Anja!  Please contact me by next Wednesday with your full mailing address so that I can pass this onto Alison @ The Alley Way Stamps.

So onto my card for today.  I have used an older TAWS set called get MOOvin'.  You can probably guess by the name of the stamp set that it might just have a cow in there somewhere, hehe, but I have used the fantastic, whimsical cloud stamp that is included in the set for my card:

Supplies
The Alley Way Stamps: Oogles stamp set
The Alley Way Stamps: get MOOvin' stamp set
Versamark ink; Memento ink: Gray Flannel
SU cardstock: Melon Mambo, Wisteria Wonder
Bazzill cardstock: Moody Blue, Wildberry Pie
WOW! Embossing Powder:  Bright White Super Fine (WL01SF)
Whimsy Stamps Stitched Border Trio die set

The sentiment is from one of our *new* January stamp sets, Oogles.  It actually says "eye adore you", but I simply inked up the latter portion of the stamp for my card.  The stitched lines were die cut using one of the dies from my Whimsy Stamps Stitched Border Trio die set.

Again, I followed the awesome sketch at CAS(E) this Sketch! #105 for my layout (but turned it 180 degrees to the right this time, so it's basically upside-down), and followed ColourQ #275 for my colour combination:

As January is TAWS birthday month, we have a fantastic discount coupon for you - enter PARTYTIME when checking out during January and you'll receive 15 percent off your order!! How awesome is that?

Okay, that's it from me for today!

Enjoy the Fuss & a TAWS Giveaway!

Hi everyone! I have a brand new The Alley Way Stamps card for you today using 2 stamp sets from our January release.

Supplies
The Alley Way Stamps: Oogles stamp set
The Alley Way Stamps: Cake Day stamp set
Versamark ink

Distress ink pad: Festive Berries
WOW! Embossing Powder: Metallic Silver Super Fine (WC05SF)
Bazzill cardstock:

I followed the awesome sketch at CAS(E) this Sketch! #105 for my layout and the colour combo at Color Throwdown #324 for my colours:

I would also like to enter this into the new Less is More #206 challenge which is "One Layer".

I took a 105x148mm piece of Bazzill Coconut Swirl cardstock and masked 18mm in from each edge. I then inked the remaining rectangle with Festive Berries distress ink, trying to graduate the colour from dark to light. Once the ink was dry, I removed the mask and heat embossed the cute star banner from Cake Day.  I stamped the tallest monster from Oogles in black ink and stamped the teeny tiny birthday cake from the same set in his hand.  I then stamped them again onto my Copic colouring paper, coloured them, then cut out the coloured pieces and glued them onto the stamped images.  (I could have stamped the images and masked them before inking the background, but I prefer to do it this way, as I can then correct any mistakes easily).  Finally, I stamped the "ENJOY THE FUSS" sentiment from Cake Day, added some black enamel accents, and it was done!
