Graph'it Markers: Red Hair Tutorial

Hi everyone!  Hope you're having a great week?

I just thought I'd pop by to let you know that I've done a tutorial for colouring red hair over at the Graph'it Markers blog!  It's my very first tutorial (eek!) and you can find it HERE.

Here's a little sneak peek for you...

I haven't revealed the complete coloured image in the tutorial, as I'm keeping that for a future Graph'it Markers challenge *wink* but I do show you how I colour skin and red hair!!  I would love for you to check it out and let me know what you think (but please be gentle as it's my very first time, hehe!).

Hi everyone!

Hope you're having a good weekend? Today I have my Graph'it Challenge Week 8 card to share with you. Our challenge this week is COLOURING WHITE, so we want to see how you colour white!

For my challenge card I used papers and digi stamps from the Polkadoodles Bonbon Belles Double CD Collection. This was one of the cards I made for one of the Polkadoodles/Graph'it Marker shows on Create & Craft TV on 29th July, so if you happened to watch that show you may have spotted this card, hehe!

(Apols for the naff photography - I took it with my now-completely-dead-but-dying-at-the-time-I-shot-this-photo camera before sending it off to Nikky, so I couldn't take another with our new camera)

Graph'it Markers used:
Parasol & deckchair:
Red 3180 3170 5250 5220 5210
White 9503 9501 9500 0000
Wood: 3210 3245
Huts: 5220 (red) 7175 (navy) 7130 (light blue) 9500 (shading)

So now it's your turn to get creating! You have until Sunday 25th August 2013 at noon GMT to enter our White challenge. As always, there is an awesome prize up for grabs (worth a whopping £30!!!) and the lucky winner of this challenge will be announced on the blog on Friday 31st August.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I'll be back on Tuesday with my Sparkle Creations challenge card, and on the same day the Whimsy Stamps August release kicks off with a blog hop you won't want to miss!!

Paperbabe Stamps August Release sneak peek

Happy Wednesday everyone!  Last month, Kim Costello (aka Paperbabe) launched her very own stamp line, Paperbabe Stamps, and I was beyond thrilled to take part in her debut release.  I am excited to be back as a guest to help showcase her August release! Thank you Kim for inviting me to play with your fabulous stamps again!

This month Kim has designed some beautiful Japanese-inspired stamps.  The Oriental Zen clear stamp set and the MayLeeDee Kimono clear stamp (which comes in 2 versions as a clear rubber stamp, plus you can also get it as a digi) will be available to buy from the store on Friday 9th August.

For my sneak peek card, I have used MayLeeDee Kimono clear stamp and paired her with some of my unused-until-now (hehe!) Graphic 45 Bird Song 8x8 paper.  I was obviously storing this paper in anticipation of this stamp, lol!

Bazzill Raven cardstock
Graphic 45 Bird Song 8x8 paper pad

Graph'it Challenge #6: Jeans & Denim

Hi everyone!

Sorry I'm a day late posting this! Unfortunately I've been battling a very severe case of capylobacter gastroenteritis for the past week and a half. I've never actually had gastroenteritis before and I definitely don't wish this experience on my worse enemy! Thankfully I am now on the correct antibiotics so am slowly on the mend!

So today it's the turn of Graph'it Challenge Team B (that's me, Cara, Deb and Kevin) to provide you with some Graph'it inspiration this week! Our challenge this week is JEANS & DENIM, so we want to see your favourite denim marker combinations!

For my challenge card I used papers and 5 dfferent digi stamps from the Polkadoodles Bonbon Belles Double CD Collection to create a one layer scene card. I compiled the background papers and digi images  in Microsoft Word (no fancy software needed, lol!), printed it out, coloured it with my Graph'It markers, then matt and layered it onto some coordinating purple and aqua card:

Graph'it Markers used:
Skin: 4155 4125 4115 4120 4135 4145
Hair: 3245 1280 1230 1210 4110
Jeans: 7290 7180 7115 7110 7105
Purples: 6110 6120 6130 6140 6180
Turquoise: 7260 7240 7220 7210
Fence: 3250 3245 3210
Trunk: 3250 3245
Greens: 8260 8240 8220 0000
Bird: 9503 9501 9500 0000

So now it's your turn to get creating! You have until Sunday 11th August 2013 at noon GMT to enter our Jeans & Denim challenge. There is a FAB-U-LOUS prize up for grabs (worth a whopping £30!!!) and the lucky winner of this challenge will be announced on the blog on Friday 16th August.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Hope you have a wonderful weekend!
